- How to draw a Rose In 10 Minutes step by step Real Time
It has been a long time since i made new how to draw video. In this video i am drawing a rose in just 10 minutes. Did this a little bit different this time, with no speeding, so it goes in real time,so that it would be easier to train and try to draw a simple rose with some shading.
I hope it helps for someone to learn!

After 5 long hours of just pure frustration and determination, my hand cramped up several times, and I've bled enough tears to fill a swimming pool. I have finally accomplished to perfectly mirror an exceptionally similar line like the one you did in the first 2 seconds. Thank you.

Lol I have a bfa and freehand halfway decent drawing brings me to tears all the time. Even if you get okay at it, if you don't keep doing it ALL THE TIME you'll go right back to the suck. Just like me. Damn computers...

Me : "Oof...finally I'm at the middle of the video and it has been one hour" (takes me 2 hours to do it since I pause every 3 seconds xD)

I found this video yesterday, I've already have drawn 9 roses already, and added color to all of them, showed my husband and friends, they all said "that's beautiful", and "really pretty." So thanks to Mr. Edgar! ✌️ I didn't think I could draw a rose but then following his video it came to me quickly! 😁 my husband said he wants to get some of my art work and some of my roses tattooed on him. 🤗

Tip: you can slow down the video so you dont have to pause it ever 3 seconds. :)

Summer is in one week and I won't be able to see my girlfriend for the whole summer due to her parents not liking me. I wanted to draw this for her because she loves roses and I want her to have something to remember me by. I'm gonna miss her throughout the summer and I hope her parents learn to like me so I can see her one day... but for now, I drew this for her. Thank you.

when everyone pauses the video every 3 seconds and I'm here like "AHHHHHHH MOVE YOUR HAND" speed drawing looks bad first time throughh but second try looks good =)

g this is awesome! This literally is the easiest formula to draw a rose. I am a tattoo artist and I've been drawing all my life but I've never been able to draw a realistic rose

Valentine’s Day is coming up and I’m 14. I really like this one girl and she said her favorite flowers are roses. I would just buy her the roses but I’m scared she might reject me so I have been sitting here drawing this for the past 2 hours lol. I made a little gift box for her and this drawing is something I wanted to add to it. I’m probably not even going to give her the gift but I’m writing this comment just in case I do👍.

It took me a couple hours but I DID IT! And while it's not exact, It's close and I made sure to try and envision how the petals would fall so I could follow the shading. I just wish that with some of the tutorials you could have like a subtitle or some text saying where your light source is at and maybe give tips like "Think of where the petals would flow towards, up, down, left, right and use the lines of shading to follow that direction." Stuff like that. Also, maybe let us know what hardness of pencil you're using? I mean I used a no. 2 mechanical with a .5 point and I couldn't get those perfectly pointed lines BUT I broke out some smudge sticks to make the shading softer.
It worked out beautifully.

Used this video a couple years ago to learn to draw roses and forgot I knew how to until a year or two ago. Now ppl are always complementing my drawings of roses and asking me to draw them on their hands
I used to draw this rose as a teenager and used to think this was hard boy have we come a long way lol
THANK YOU SO MUCH you inspired me! I learned to shade in my own way. It may not be as good as yours but I'd say it's pretty close! Im not even done yet I'm gonna put more roses around it. Thank you for doing this it helped me to get a better grasp on shading! I used a mechanical pencil and it still turned out amazing!

This was awesome! I used a 3H pencil the entire time so it did not have the same effect. I slowed the speed down to 0.25 for the skeleton of the rose, then I sped it up to 0.50 for the shading. It turned out pretty great! Thanks :)

I'd to rewind every 10 seconds. Sometimes few seconds to see what's covered behind his hand. 15 mins not bad for pen sketch lol thank you; going to keep practicing until I get it down. Sketching my spouse and I want to get the rose petal perfect onto her shirt design

what I got from this: rotate/spin your pencil in your hand after every random little squiggly line and shade pretty well.
It helps to get the result:)
