    Better Engine in everyway than the original lump for sure.

      It's not supercharged, I have both an R53 and an ep3, different reaction, the R53 engine has power at 1500rpm the vtec needs to be thrashed to 5k before it comes alive.

      because at the time, BMW has sour relationship with Honda after buying Rover

      We used a Link Ecu with the Mini Cooper S base map and tweaked it to read the Honda K20 sensors. We kept the mini fly by wire but used a bigger throttle body of a Chrysler

      @@scubajr2 why did you choose the k20, isn't there better Vtech engines? I don't know that's why I'm asking.

      @@mrhades6420 the K20 is a good high rev engine and they are cheap plentiful around here. they can also be converted to a 2.4L very easily. 1.6 & 1.8 vtech are getting harder to fine.. so it was a great choice especially with a 6sp

      One more question about the wire harness

      @@joseysuscarros9244 I used the link ECu for the Mini r53 , Just down loaded the Honda map and used the stock wiring harness, added Vtec wire to the ECU port and sliced to K20 Crank sensor to the Mini harness crank sensor wire, that way I used to K20 sensor. With the link you can use all the Mini's can bus. Like tach, water temp rmp etc. Also use the th fly by wire Throttlet Body but off a Dodge bigger than the Mini.
