This is so brilliantly performed and finalised that I wish it would get more views. The Tolkien storylines are less kids shows than *Star Wars* so the difference in being trending (in social media) is way less of course xP
If Boromir hadn't been there, Frodo would've been at the shore when the Orcs attacked, which means that Merry and Pippin may not have been taken, so Aragorn and co. would never have went to Fanghorn and thus never dealt with Saruman, which means the Rohirim would have fallen at Helm's Deep, which means Gondor would have fallen at the battle of Minas Tirith and thus there would have been no distraction for Frodo to sneak the ring into Mordor, which means Sauron would have won. Boromir dying is the Nexus Event that leads directly to the Dark Lords fall.

Something the bards would sing about.....mostly to keep his name on people's lips to ensure that good old dad's redundancy package would "be worthy of a man of my utmost qualities". I wish dad desired a bloody & graphic death for me, but he said I'd just stuff it up & survive. And that I'd probably shame his name eternal by needing crutches or a wheelchair!

The group dynamics are so ritchly interwoven, it takes 2 or 3 rewatches to pick up on all the little details. Well done. Hilarious. Loved watching Boromir squirm. 😅

Poor Boromir. He is my second favorite character. He was desperate to protect his people from insurmountable forces of pure evil, he died honorably protecting the innocent 😔
And tbh, Gondor REALLY was the bulwark for the southwest. The elves and dwarves had to work together against GOBLINS only. Unarmored trolls? Pft. That's cake for elves. Ground zero Mordor? Fffffffffuuuuuuukkkk. Nazgul? Cmon. They had it rough.

As a (so-called) Tolkien scholar recently declared that Tolkien's works have no set canon it seems that Gandalf sharing a flat with Charlie can now be considered an official part of the legendarium 😁
Even funnier that theres direct quotes from tolkien about adaptations being bad for changing canon needlessly. After chap called Zimmerman tried to rings of power his story in the 70's iirc.
Tbf he is kind of right the only stuff that is 100% part of Tolkien’s work is the stuff published when he was alive everything published by Christopher you do have to take with a pinch of salt as it was not official finished by Tolkien himself and he was changing stuff all the time up to his death.

And at least in the movies it sets Aragorn on the path of becoming the king Gondor needs.
