    Great vid. Your voice looks like it is only on the left audio channel though!

    If you knew how to foil and did it for a few seasons. Would you buy an Air Pro as your one board with a jet or some other model?
    Thanks man

      The Air board is great can't be beat for the price. I wouldn't recommend the jet as it goes through battery much quicker. If you did want a jet I would say get two Nano flitecells and one fast charger then you'll be set

    In your videos you said something about the Audi efoil not being sold in the USA. What was that about?
    Thanks!

      @@michaelvadney5803 They were served a cease and desist letter from flite at the FLIBS 2 years ago and are not allowed to sell in the USA. I'm not sure of the exactly what the details of the patent infringement but either way they're not allowed to sell in the USA.

    Thanks for the video!
    Does a jet recover from breaches as good as a prop or will you have the tendency to nose dive that much more?

    • @BayFoils
      @BayFoils  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      In my experience the jet is actually much easier to recover a breach than the standard prop and guard, as it's spinning about 4x faster, but recovering from breaching is really about proper throttle management and weight shifting.

      Very nice, thanks. Having a soft but rigid board is tempting. I currently have a GetFoil and as you know, they closed their doors. That will be a problem if and when it breaks. The carbon is great, but learning on a CF board beat me up pretty good. I'm glad that I'm finally over that hump last year.

    • @BayFoils
      @BayFoils  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I mean the air is softer but you should be kicking the board far away from you when you fall regardless of the material. Trying to avoid the water and land on your board is not really safe as it puts you close to the wings and stuff. If you have the chance you should really try a fliteboard, you'll be very surprised how much easier and relaxing a fliteboard is compared to a Getfoil!

    • @michaelvadney5803
      @michaelvadney5803 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks. I do know that if you are way off balance that it is difficult to actually kick away.

      You'll be surprised how much easier a fliteboard is to control (especially during a touch down). If you're ever in SF look us up!

    HI Levi! Very informative regarding the new folding Propellor. Been surfing wake behind the boats (Yellow and Blue fleet) around the bay but recently going over to Rodeo Beach but pretty insane out there most of the time.

    • @BayFoils
      @BayFoils  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yep, the Bay is no joke and norcal surf is tough. To be frank Rodeo/cronkite is not a great spot too shifty and dumpy for a fliteboard. It's much safer to practice at Bolinas or Cowell's in Santa Cruz.

    Cool! I think the folding propeller makes sense. Bit less efficiency but who doesn't want powerless swell riding!? that's gonna boost your ride time. Perhaps a 3 or 4 blade version will further improve efficiency and drag? like the foil drive

      The folder prop is nice for wave riding but ultimately doesn't feel great for regular flat water riding. Luckily it's super easy to change the prop on a fliteboard for the conditions you're riding in

      @@BayFoils I see. Thanks! Just about to order one. Was thinking the Air with 1500 cruiser and folding prop. Will get the guard prop too of course.

      @@noobsaibot5285 🤙 you can head to www.bayfoils.com/flite-air to order, crusier jet 1500 wings are back ordered so if you want to start riding right away I would reccommend getting a crusier jet 1800 it's also easier for heavier riders to practice un powered riding and you'll get more ride time.

    Super informative.
    Can you speak to how interchangeable the different props are? eg if one started with a jet and then at some point switched to a “true glide” - how easy could you switch back and forth between them?

    • @BayFoils
      @BayFoils  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I switch between jet, true glide and prop with guard all the time no issues, but I also ride 5 days a week. 😂 Rest assured it's not like you have to re learn how to ride if you switch down the line. After a few rides you'll figure out the the new power level for the jet or prop. The one thing about starting with the jet is it's much easier controlling it if you breach the water with the jet compared to the standard prop with the guard on.

    Question for ya: Does the True Glide and Folding Prop still require you to hit the throttle then the minus button to wake up the controller at the end of each wave...or will the controller stay active the whole time while surfing?

    • @BayFoils
      @BayFoils  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The efoil knows you are in motion and keeps throttle unlocked in "wave mode" once you run out of wave energy you can ease back on the controller and go. If you wipe out it will lock itself, ultimately not a big deal it takes less than a second to rearm and get back riding.

    • @revilozone
      @revilozone 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Under 'Drive Type', my controller only shows Prop, Jet Boost and Jet. Am I missing something? Where is 'wave mode'? @@BayFoils

    • @BayFoils
      @BayFoils  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@revilozone It's not a setting you can change. "Wave mode" activates automatically when the fliteboard detects motion but the trigger is released.
