    It proved very good specifically in amur rocket hauling with its support of chained tires when traversing icy areas

      Oh yea thats really good place for it especially with all that ice. Im sure the trailer clearance helped alot too! I shoulda used the Boar on that same part

    i've been using it for heavy hauling in alaska and it does really well due to the high saddle placement. it may feel a little underpowered but it straight up flies with the highrange gearbox

    Been running the 49X in Lake Kovd. It's been doing well for me so far. The lift axle helps out with grip on the few paved sections, and i can manipulate the mud with it if i get extra stupid

    great video man, keep them coming.
    I think that the dedicated hualers(DL4520, boar, FL916 etc.) should see some sort of a buff. Being locked out of the loader crane and flatbed options really hurts their ability to do many contracts on their own. they should be best in slot choice for their specific niche but seem to fall short of many of the multipurpose rigs.

      I think its very strong. Im going to start using it more actually. I did use in on stream a few months back and it just handled things very well despite those issues.

  • @maplegamer4736

    I initially dismissed this truck coz no muds, but after realizing how huge those tires are, I figured that should more than compensate. And true enough, its a beast offroad. Better than the pacific trucks and has way more personality (except for the horn!). But the fuel consumption is bonkers.
    Back to its tires: I've only really tried it with the OHDs, which are visually wider than the UODs. No idea whether it makes a difference :)

    • @NProvince
      @NProvince  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I definitely felt a difference with the OHDs which are a much more heavy weight tire and wider as well. Love that this vehicle got these. It’s so good in lower gears too! The fuel consumption is frightening though.

    nice video :) i started watching you again recently, and your videos are as nice as before. I used the boar a bit on maine, and it was very good... until it ran out of fuel and almost got stuck 2 times, those only-for-semitrailers trucks really need some sort of update. again, nice video. you always make good points.

    Unrelated but at what point does the MH9500 become obsolete? I am quite fond of it since it's the first truck given to the player, and it (somewhat recently?) got engageable AWD making it the best Highway class truck in my opinion (the 47 inch wheels aren't anything to write home about and the engine choices are limited though)

    • @NProvince
      @NProvince  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I personally think the MH9500 is going to stay relevant as long as your perspective values its performance.
      I know people who use this thing throughout the entire game and love it. Its capable, but lemme give you a small tip, use the 2nd engine over the 3rd. It has 5,000 more torque and its more efficient. Overall as long as you're having a good time with it and its getting the job done thats what matters. It also speaks to your patience because it takes some skill to drive it as well.

    • @GERB120
      @GERB120 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      higher level trucks aren't necessarily "better" they are just different.
      all things considered the gmc is going to be a good choice for light/medium duty tasks for the entire game.
      I would just avoid trying to pull heavy loads through deep mud.

    I was just disappointed with this truck and ended up selling it after doing only a few jobs with it. I can overlook a truck being a gas guzzler if it has good capabilities (such as with the Paystar 5600TS). You'd think this thing would be very capable with 58 inch tires and that huge engine, but thanks to the power bleed off it felt incredibly gutless to me and always seemed to run out of power right when I needed it the most. I'll take the P16 or one of the Kolobs over this any day.

    • @NProvince
      @NProvince  ปีที่แล้ว

      The power bleed is tough, but I think in Low Gears Its gonna shine. I also think it should have an advanced special gearbox to slow down its consumption. I also have a feeling its just not tuned right. Its the only vehicle that shares that engine to have a different gearbox

    Sooo what you’re saying is that this truck sucks…? 😂 Seriously though I absolutely love your positivity, that was a very generous review because this truck does suck. The Devs didn’t give it a lot of love for sure. When comparing apples to apples, the P-16 even without AWD is a hundred times better than the Boar.

      In the best way I can say I think the Boar has some issues, but I’ve had a lot of success in most of my actually campaign. I have put the spotlight on it’s issued big time and with careful consideration of its strengths as well. Overall I think it’s a good backup and a different approach than the “meta” which everyone loves to use. I think if they fixed this; man the Boar would be something else. I’m glad you enjoyed the video. More to come :)

    I see your BOAR has diff lock, mine does not. 😅 I’m level 30 playing all maps in order and currently doing some long log hauling with it in Taymyr. I assume the diff lock comes later in one of the phase updates. So that’s a disadvantage as well. Not the greatest truck in my situation for this job I know, but I want to use a lot of different trucks in the game and not just the best ones.

    • @NProvince
      @NProvince  ปีที่แล้ว

      So its not really a downside to be honest. The Boar came out in Phase 3 Wisconsin and that upgrade you speak of is actually right next to the garage in black badger lake. You do have a point though because if you play in order, that isnt unlocked, but creating this review when you're caught up and on Phase 3 that didnt seem like a glaring downside. Also not alot of people really use the boar in early game as well.

    • @Breyzipp
      @Breyzipp ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NProvince Yeah good point about me using the BOAR earlier than what people used to do. But I guess that goes for more people who start new or play catch up. When I watch your reviews I do care more about what unlocks in future phase maps since I’m not there yet. 😅 But then being level 30 and playing normal game with plenty of cash, I don’t care at all about late level unlocks or high cost prices.

  • @peterainsworth8466

    Is the power bleed off similar to the Derry 4520? It also has a powerful engine yet it bleeds off and stalls. I just can't put up with the Derry for that reason. Is the Boar similarly frustrating or not as bad?

    • @NProvince
      @NProvince  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ya I believe alot of the problems stem from the gearbox. Thats pure speculation, but they feel like they are meant for the advanced special and not the regular gearboxes. The Boar isnt as bad I dont think. It does have much more power to tap into with its engine and less axles that it needs to distribute power to, if that makes sense. I would try it out, but its still a capable truck for sure

    • @NProvince
      @NProvince  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@VeeTwoPointOh They are for sure. I think people compare it because they simply dont use anything outside the meta. Once you start branching out, you notice other trucks are viable options and actually makes for a really fun experience. something is wrong with this truck. if you install IMZ-8 520 AT engine, you will find out that the power output is almost the same as KZGT-8 530T.(and burns less fuel)

    • @NProvince
      @NProvince  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ya the power is still very good with that engine. Its just a very odd thing. On paper this thing should be wild (it can still be at times), but i have my speculations on things it could be.

    Do you think the Tatra T813 or Tatra Phoenix is better?

    • @NProvince
      @NProvince  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think they both offer strengths and weaknesses. As far as performance, I think it’s gonna depend on the driver. As long as your in Low with diff lock on the T813 can push through a lot of things. The Phoenix is also very strong as well. I don’t think either pull away from one another as a whole. They both can be very dominant pending on player play style. Does that make sense?

    not sure what to think about the boar. it just doesnt really seem to have a good use. The tire size may be good on paper but it doesnt have mudtires and the grip isnt even close to the kolobs or azovs. Paired with the looks and fuel tank/consumption.
    It might get quite a few jobs done but i think this is one of the worst russian trucks overall

    • @NProvince
      @NProvince  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thats fair. You're right, its not on par with the Kolobs, but those OHDs will perform better than you think. The OHD tire is really one of the best tires. Of course the Mud Tire is always a great option, but I do think the OHD is a contender and a good upgrade for the boar. Now the consumption is insane for sure, scary in fact. Its not going to be a #1 or #2 heavy hauler, but its just there if you wanna try something different I think.

    • @justinlynch3
      @justinlynch3 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Mud tires isn't the be all end all, only mud tires I really use are the super wide ones as their floaty nature helps over bogs and soft ice. But otherwise offroad OHD I or UOD II on a truck like the Boar 10 wheels with 1.9 mud grip, meanwhile the best muds (super wides) do have 2.4 mud grip per wheel, but at the cost of only having 6 wheels.
      At the end of the day I find the difference very small, and to be honest I do actually like the Offroad tires more.
      The KOLOB's and other tractors have different tires compared to other trucks, their tires have mud values of 3.0 (3.2 for the best set) but those tires are exclusive just to tractors like the KOLOB, CAT745C, etc.
      The "mud tire" on the Azov's only have a mud value of 2.0, a measly 0.1 point extra over the OHD I with less tires (8 compared to 10). The Azov's are good not because the tires are better, but just because the trucks themselves are that powerful. I don't even run the mud tires on the Azov's myself, I run offroad tires tires, that set that looks like the Tatarin tire, OH II is it? Those had mud trip of 1.7 last I checked and the Azov trucks are still unstoppable just because the trucks in of themselves are just that good.
      So basically the TMHS/AMHS I are useful only in the absolute most serve conditions as they resist sinking and help with stability. Otherwise OHD I or UOD II offroad is the best I think to go for.
      I've been playing this game since launch, and in my experience there are very few places in the entire game that a truck on TMHS I can get that a truck on UOD II's can't get.
      Like if you are in Drowned Lands and you turn off the trails to straight into the middle of a pure swap. That's the kind of conditions TMHS I needs to be in for a UOD II to be unable to follow. Other then those very rare and limited condition, a OHD I or UOD II offroad tire can literally go anywhere a mud tire can go, and often times on trails even perform better then a mud tire.
