As a fan of lost dimension, there's one very important part that makes it one of my favorite games. Yes, there's traitors. Yes, they are randomized. But, unlike other games with this kind of detail, YOU CAN GET IT WRONG. The game will not auto-end if you vote out the wrong person. You'll even get dialogue based on if you're right or not. And well, naturally having traitors may change a thing or two, but the fact the game does not hold your hand and make you pick out the traitor. You can totally get yourself into some deep shit. And that's awesome.
@@B0K0691 There is a forced game over if you killed off only Innocents though, just before the final boss, your entire team betrays, gangs up on and kills the MC. @@Jack_80 I did finish it back in the day. It was a really great game I spent a little over 77 hours upon finishing the game and i almost 100% the game in one go too. There are a few more games you forgot. Two of them are Double Dragon Advance and River City Ransom EX, Game Boy Advance remakes of the original NES titles everyone loves. They were published by Atlus USA in North America, and developed by Millon (Which owned all of Technos' IPs at the time). I remember reading a lot about them on internet back then, but people forgot them. You should really try these two. Besides that, you did a great video as usual!
Radiant Historia is one of my favorite games ever. What especially stood out to me was how charming the major characters were. Also the soundtrack is composed by YOKO SHIMOMURA.
Funny enough I found Lost Dimension in the Bargain bin at a local department store chain earlier this year. Certainly not the greatest game I ever played but a lot of fun and I did end up playing it twice for the true ending
Nyarly, I don't remember if you talked about Stella Glow on the 3DS in one of your Obscure ATLUS Games videos, but I'm playing it right now and it is a very underrated gem from the defunct Imageepoch. Story and characters may both be clichéd, but it's well written and voice casted IMO, and the battle system is just pure TRPG fun, though not as deep as say Final Fantasy Tactics or Fire Emblem. Definitely worth buying and playing if anyone hasn't gotten the chance yet. Also, shoutouts to Radiant Historia and 3D Dot Game Heroes for being mentioned in this video! Great job, man!
Wow, Jewel Summoner seems right up my alley. To be honest, if I were to judge the game on the title itself, I would have likely thought it was a bejeweled clone and just ignored it.

Yo, 3DS peeps? Go get Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology. Knowing how Atlus likes to do things, it's probably on sale for half off around holidays and the like, as well as the MegaTen and Etrian Odyssey games. Seriously, I don't even think I'm halfway through yet and it's so good. Moreover, RH is the kind of game that I really wish had a bigger community/following; I mean, it's a story based entirely around time travel, potential futures, and "what-if" events, with an interesting plot and a strong cast of characters to boot! Anyways, go treat yourselves to a good Atlus JRPG on the 3DS, especially if it's on sale.

Great story, a fantastic world, believable characters with strong motivations... I was still surprised when the price of the game immediately jumped to double the sales price since it was apparently sold out in the States pretty quickly.
Lost Dimension was fun. I believe if you build a strong bond with a traitor, they let out a dramatic death cry when they get offed. Nice little touch.(if I'm remembering right)
Thank you for reminding me about Lost Dimension. I remember seeing the game in stores a few times and mentally checking it on my list to check out again, but my memory is trash. I'm glad I can finally get it.
Cool thing about lost dimension is that the final social talk will be slightly different if the character you max is the traitor for that chapter and then they have a different speech when being executed.
Dang. I didn't realize how many Atlus games I've played before looking at these videos. Radiant Historia, Etrian Odyssey, Tactics Ogre, Luminous Arc, Yggdra Union...
Great video as always. I've personally heard of most of these games on the list, but it's fun hearing about them. I'll definitely check out Lost Dimension next time it's on sale. I'm not sure how obscure this is, but If you can try and look into the Super Robot Taisen Original Generation GBA games translated by Atlus. Turn Based Strategy games featuring giant robots and a very intriguing plot especially for folk who just expect giant robots fighting for no reason. It's actually part of a larger crossover series, but the Original Generation games don't involve crossover elements. The GBA Original Generation games are the only ones Atlus translated and we wouldn't get any more official English translations of the games until many many years later. I will be honest the games may seem a bit janky animation and gameplay wise, but they somewhat improve as the games go on. Especially between Original Generation 1 and 2 difference is night and day. Thank you for taking the time to read this and have a nice day.
Lost Dimension social aspects have some nifty little tricks though, because the game kinda keeps track of both your social progression and combat progression in regards to the voting system. Charecters who are used more and succeed more in battle are trusted more, while the opposite also occurs. That means the party is more likely to vote that the least used party members are traitors. Conversely, if you try and convince them that somebody who was highly ranked was the traitor, they may change their vote to YOU due to you accusing somebody popular rather than believing your charecter, which can make it difficult if the game picks your favorite as the Traitor as you will have a hard time convincing the others that they are the traitor. You may also find that even though you pick the traitor, you get outvoted due to the NPC's not following your voting pattern if you didn't talk to them regarding their votes (you are less likely to get these conversations if you are ranked in the lower half as the NPC's don't value your opinion).
I bought Lost Dimension based on your rec in this video and its been pretty good. Lived up to your word here, would recommend to anyone looking for a light S-RPG. Hope to see you cover Dokapon Kingdom on the next one of these
Gonna take this opportunity to once again recommend Master of the Monster Lair if you ever do another one of these! Of the games Atlus has published over the years I definitely consider it to be a hidden gem on the DS.
To anyone interested in Europe - Radiant Historia 3DS is on sale on the eshop for like 7 Euro atm. (Just on the off-chance someone who fits that very specific subset comes across this)
God I love Lost Dimension, it was such a really cool game. I managed to secure myself a copy a while back after I borrowed it from the library. A lot of the powers and characters were awesome. Plus the traitor system was really fun to use. Still gotta try and get all the trophies someday.
2 games I really think you should take a look at are Bomberman Land Touch and Dokapon Kingdom. Especially Dokapon. Bomberman Land Touch is one of the few good minigame collections on the DS, with a cute story and cast of characters tying everything together, and plenty of puzzle-solving and exploration on the overworld. The sequel's even better, although not published by Atlus. As for Dokapon Kingdom, it's basically Mario Party if it were mixed with Monopoly and an RPG. Up to 4 players gather together, spinning wheels to move around the board and fight enemies, with the goal being to get powerful enough to defeat bosses and aquire towns. You can also attack other players, and if you kill them, steal their items or cash. If you thought Mario Party could kill friendship, this game can murder them. It's one of the most fun party games I've ever played and I really hope it gets a port/sequel with online. Be warned that the CPUs are hella rigged though.
I'll be sure to hunt down those gnarly RPGs. Though seriously that ending theme was badass. Makes me want a remake of personas 1+2 duology even more. Man those were better than the Neo personas.
I *LOVED* 3D Dot Game Heroes, it was one of my favorite PS3 games. So glad to see it get some love! I'd kill to see it ported to modern systems, and I feel like it would hold up extremely well. Both the gameplay and the graphics are almost totally timeless. You could do a straight port with nothing beyond a resolution boost (and maybe higher framerate) and it would still look fine.

Hope to see you cover Dokapon Kingdom on the next one of these
Stella Deus is where it's at!!
I really want a Folklore video, I remember being a kid and wanting a ps3 so bad because of this game
Gonna take this opportunity to once again recommend Master of the Monster Lair if you ever do another one of these! Of the games Atlus has published over the years I definitely consider it to be a hidden gem on the DS.
An actually pretty soulful game game that Atlus published is Contact. Check out the OST, if anything. It's actually a grasshopper manufacture game.
1:06 What us this song again?
Edit: Tanaka's Amazing Commodities
This will be a good watch
2:42 hey all nyarly here
Thank you HCBailly for introducing me to Radiant Historia
I adored Jewel Summoner & Folklore
Folklore is criminally slept on
He getting that paper POGGERS
Radiant Historia, I should really play this one sometime (I have Perfect Chronology on hand).
The craziest thing about 3D Dot Game Heroes is that nobody talks about it other than for that one song
Because
Ya know ...
Hey all
I was waiting for breakout to play when talking about 3d dot game heroes
Man those were better than the Neo personas.
i found radiant historia on amazon for 40 and it came with all the extra stuff like an art book and stickers
Jewel Summoner has the same energy as Shouzou Kaga's Tear Ring and Berwick Saga
I'm a simple person, I see Radiant Historia on the thumbnail, I give a like
I *LOVED* 3D Dot Game Heroes, it was one of my favorite PS3 games.
