Hello there. In this video, I tried to show the construction of the "Fence System" (Flat Cutting Apparatus), which is indispensable for the "Table Saw", which I showed in the previous video. Detailed dimensions can be downloaded in PDF format from the link at the bottom of this section. The Fence System has a really simple but delicate structure. I used 75x32mm aluminum box profile to be light. As a coating, I always prefer 8mm coated MDF. Some parts Plywood wood where it should be durable. I tried to show every detail in the video, but if there is anything unclear, please feel free to ask. I'll try to answer as soon as possible.

Nice design and execution on the rip fence, but it's pretty amazing that he still has all of his fingers.

Very nice table saw. You have balls of steel. I bet you can make an awesome push block and push stick in 5 mins, your fingers will sleep better at night.

I think that using extruded aluminium is a great idea. Perfectly true and straight. I’ll be doing the same and using your idea for the fence. The fence I currently have works fine but I’ll be upgrading to your design. Thank you 👍🏾

Hello. It was a really good fence. I've been using it since the day it was made. It's never broken. Also, it is lightweight so I can easily take it off and put it on.

Hello Murat! You did a fantastic job with this fence...both accurate and simple to build. I'm replicating your fence to install on my modified (Einhell) table saw. I had to remove the provided metal table (not flat at all!) and replace it with a new MDF table and new aluminum T-Tracks as well. As I can see in you videos, you pay very special attention to accuracy as I like to work too, so I love your videos. Congrats for your work and many thanks for the plan set! Take care!

Hello. Thank you too for your nice comment. I also think that most of the products sold in the market are not as straight as they should be and are not exactly square. This prevents sensitive work. That's why I try and do it myself as much as I can. Of course, I can't say anything about high-end tools, but they are also very expensive.

    • @Dioclau7843

    Bonjour Murat,
    A bientôt.
    "Cadella" (Belgique)

Bonjour, Monsieur Cadella. Merci encore. Salutations de la Turquie

Hey there my friend.. I love the whole table saw build man. The fence and the runner for it to slide along is phenomenal but I have one question for ya mate.. Are those mitre slots wide and deep enough for these mitre gauges which u can take up the slop with those allen keys fixings?? U know what I'm asking my bro?
U have given me some brilliant ideas here and now all I really need to do is get my brother in law to help me build and weld or bolt the metaL TUBING together bcos I want to have the blade housing and all that gear separate from the top of the table.. That way I can always align the saw blade and the table top together easily. I cannot do this atm plus I would also like to look at maybe building my table saw into a belt driven saw if possible.. I think a fair bit of research is needed online but I have time to get it done now anyways.. Well after my day job is finished everyday.. The summer evenings are begging to roll in now so I will have plenty of long evenings to get out into my shop and work hard on this shitty cheaper than dog crap table saw and rebuild it into something special using some of ur techniques along the way an..
Thanks for a great table saw fence idea. This is another brilliant build from u my G.. Take care and watch those fingers of urs when ur running pieces close to the blade especially without a riving knife man.. Take care my bro & keep up the awesome content too..

Nice video again. I am wondering what's the point of putting wood sides on the aluminum profile of the fence. But someone already asked that question a few comments below and I have my answer. But don't you fear you may need to access the screws in the future, to tighten them or adjust perpendicularity ?

Hello there. Accessing the screws is not as difficult as it seems. Honestly, I haven't needed it until now. I glued the wooden pieces for aesthetic purposes. Besides that some of the tools I was thinking of making need to slide on the fence, so the wood was fine. The aluminum profile is very good due to its light weight, but I think its appearance is not very good.

Why did you enclose the aluminium straight-edge in wood? It seemed fine on its own as a fence. Was it for aesthetics only?

Hello... Good question. One of the reasons is aesthetic appearance, the other is that the aluminum surface can cause stains in case of friction and its slipperiness is low. Thank you for your interest.

Hi. How does the fence clamp down - I can't see the mechanism within the plans?

Hello. All parts are detailed in the measurement document. There is even a template and a document for the clamping arm. The feature of this arm is that the hole (10mm) on it is off-center. Since it is not in the center, when you lift the handle up, it will free the guard and it can be easily slided. When you press the handle down, it tightens and the guard is fixed. It has been working perfectly since the day it was made. It has never been adjusted. It is quite light thanks to the aluminum profile. If you pay attention to the miter thing at first, you will not have any problems.

Hello. First of all, thank you very much for your interest and comment. I assure you I've had no problems. I've been using it for about 5 months and it's like the first day. There was no such thing as miter run-off. The biggest reason for this is that the fence is light. There may be a snagging in the fence system made by attaching a piece to the other end. Or two tightening operations are required. That's why I chose to make this system. I am really pleased.

Hola. Intentaré ser lo más detallado posible ...
      Consulte el número de pieza en los documentos de dimensiones (PDF);
      Para "Sierra de mesa";
      1. MDF de 18 mm
      Partes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 y 9. MDF revestido de 8 mm
      10. Bisagra de metal
      11. Metal L (cualquier parte)
      12. "Contrachapado de abedul" o carpe (yo usé carpe)
      13, 21. Pieza de tornillo m6
      14. tuerca m6
      15. Madera contrachapada de 10 mm (el grosor puede variar)
      16. Tubería de PVC de 50 mm de diámetro
      17. Madera de 50 mm x 50 mm (sin importar el tipo)
      20. Carpe de 20 mm de espesor (se puede utilizar cualquier otra madera maciza)
      22. Tuerca interior m6 (pasa como pasador minifix)
      Para el sistema de valla;
      1. MDF de 10 mm (utilicé un piso laminado)
      2. MDF de 18 mm

Doesn't the metal l bracket you use for the clamp mark up the track the fence runs in? And how do you adjust the fence to make sure it's accurate

Hello there. First of all, thank you for your interest. The metal part I use does not cause friction under normal conditions. So there is very little space between the fence and the board on which it is clamped. Since the hole of the clamping arm is not in the center, it can push the metal part sufficiently due to the axis escaping during the clamping process. On the other hand, since the surface of the metal part is wide enough during compression, it does not leave any marks on the wood.

In order for the fence to measure correctly, as soon as it sticks to the saw blade, I put a line and take it as the 0 point. Actually it would be nice to use a sticky ruler, but I couldn't find it where I live.

The fence, meanwhile, turned out to be really light and useful. If I think it's a miter run-out, we can fix it with the help of bolts. I have used it in many of my videos. You can take a look. If I haven't answered your questions adequately, please write back. And don't forget to subscribe :)

Huh that's a neat idea. I thought for sure the clamping pressure from the handle being engage to lock would make that metal bracket cause a indent in the wood that the fence is being clamped to. I see how you did the adjusting again to make sure fence was indeed parallel with the miter slot. Great job

@@jasonm6265 Thank you. I should also say this. If you paid attention to the woods I used, I used MDF in some parts and plywood in some parts. There is plywood where the metal part exerts pressure. But the truth is, there are no print marks at the moment. I wish you healthy days...

Beau boulot!!

Salut.

Merhaba Can bey.
