      I agree I have a hand full of psa 9 cards that 3 of the 4 corners are noticeably bad. Bgs,sgc seem more accurate. Comes down to fanboys that watch breakers talk about psa. Psa is on point with marketing and that is how they change the weak minded.

    BGS Gem Mint 10's graded cards are Way much harder to get than BGS 9.5 also Classified as Gem Mint by them. I'd like to see the comparison of a BGS 9.5 to the same PSA 10 and I bet it's a whole lot different than what you just showed. Those 1989 Upper Deck Baseball they printed so many of them that other than the K. Griffey card I'd have to get a BGS 11 before I would consider buying one.

    Most all of the PSA cards were older graded slabs, before PSA changed their grading criteria and got tougher. Especially to control population counts. Yes BGS 10's are tougher to get, cause they hand out the 9.5's. What is the difference between the PSA 10's and the BGS 9.5's with population counts. That is more apples to apples.

    This doesnt quite make sense to me. Is beckett grading that much harder than psa? The smart man would buy up bunches of psa 10s, crack them and send them to beckett to see what happens. If people are spending that much more on a beckett 10, would be a good investment imo

    • @GRADEDCARDINVESTOR
      @GRADEDCARDINVESTOR  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Some collectors and investors believe that Beckett tends to be more stringent in their grading, resulting in fewer cards receiving top grades (e.g., BGS 10) compared to PSA's top grade (PSA 10). This perception can lead to higher premiums for Beckett-graded cards, especially in certain markets or for specific card types.
      Your idea of buying PSA 10 cards and then sending them to Beckett for grading could potentially yield BGS 10 grades and thus increase the value. However, it's worth noting that grading is subjective, and there's no guarantee that a card that received a PSA 10 grade would also receive a BGS 10 grade. Additionally, there are costs associated with cracking and regrading cards, so it's essential to consider whether the potential increase in value justifies the expense and effort.

      @GRADEDCARDINVESTOR  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hmm, you might be in the minority on this one. Personally, I'd opt for a BGS 10 over a PSA 10 any day. The scarcity factor alone makes it more appealing, not to mention the consistent grading standards.

    • @richardbianco9674
      @richardbianco9674 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Since psa doesn't have a 9.5 grade , the psa 10 will have a larger pop just by default. There are very many cards in 10 slabs for psa that would never grade a 10 anywhere else ( or gem 9.5 bgs). This is a big problem if all things are considered equal. The issue arises because both psa fan boys and most investors are extremely bias or have zero clue about grade. Just by pure condition both a bgs 10 pristine and an sgc 10 pristine should outsell the average psa 10 by a large margin.

    Ok… this video is WILDLY misleading.
    The pop counts are driving the prices, but the pop counts also dont examine what percent of total submissions received each grade.
    The fact across the board is that PSA graded virtually every one of these card significantly more than BCG. So by default, there should be more that received a higher grade thus increasing the pop counts.
    A real question still exists about the subjectivity of grading. Is there really any obvious difference between a 9 and a 10 or is this done to appease “influencers” and give them higher grades to further control the market?
    Anyone who believes this grading game isnt rigged is fooling themselves.

      The pop counts drive the sale prices, but the pop counts IGNORE that is almost all cases, people submitted to PSA at anywhere from a 5-1 to 15-1 ratio.
      Therefore, the BGS card is not worth a dime more regardless of what people pay because they, like you, are ignoring how many more cards are submitted to PSA in general.
      You are selectively looking at two stats (pop count and sales) while not addressing the actual percentage of how many sent to each company receive a grade of 10 based on the overall percentages submitted for grading.

    • @GRADEDCARDINVESTOR
      @GRADEDCARDINVESTOR  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You've hit the nail on the head. Pop counts can sway prices, but they don't always consider the vast difference in submission ratios between PSA and BGS. This means the value of BGS cards might not truly represent the grading scene. While it's crucial to factor in submission proportions and grading percentages, it's worth noting that the current market seems to favor BGS 10 examples of the cards listed.

      @@GRADEDCARDINVESTOR NO!!! IT!! DOES!!! NOT!!!!!
      It favors (like you do) the FALSE belief that the resell is higher because the pop count is lower.
      I get what youre saying… the sales are the sales are the sales. And yes, there are beyond stupid people on every corner of earth that dont do the actual math and see that 10% of all PSS submissions got the same 10 as 10% of all BGS submission.
      That BGS has so far fewer is only a point that PSS has millions of more grading submissions a year than BGS.
      If you cant get that or your viewers cant, shame on you both and keep paying BGS prices based on under-inflated submission ratios. Fools!!

      Tag is a passing fad! As soon as they get 10k submissions watch them have 5 month wait times like HGA! However, CGC Slabs are really nice especially for the Cards that have shine! If only they had a more west coast presence, PSA would be shaking in their boots!

      Still would be inaccurate as resubmitted cards going back and forth from PSA, BGS and SGC is way beyond anything that you can ever prove. PSA to PSA to SGC to PSA just to get the grade you want. And they certainly weren't taken off the pop report each time.
      With serial numbered cards and now high resolution scans, it might be easier to track which cards are being resubmitted. Eventually!!!

    BGS 10 is Pristine, dumb dumb. PSA doesn’t do Pristine. But sometimes a PSA 10 will look really good, and you can send it to the money grab hungry BGS and get a juiced up BGS 10. 🤦‍♂️
    But yeah, they’re not the same. You would have to compare apples to apples, which is PSA 10 Gem Mint to BGS 9.5 Gem Mint.
    Can’t make this stuff up with these rookie collectors / “investors”

      I'm a bit puzzled about your point here. The video just highlights the price gap between BGS 10 and PSA 10 cards. Are you suggesting Beckett's superiority is due to PSA's grading system lacking a .5 grade between 9 and 10? If so, then yes, Beckett 10s have an advantage for the long haul. Hope that clears things up. Cheers!

      True but most psa 10s will come back anywhere from Bgs 8.5-9.5 psa is more lenient on the back of cards
