One tip for using hoppers is to also place carpet on top of them, which not only lets the items flow more easily but it also prevents XP getting stuck too! Ok nvm lol, slabs work too!
is you hold a crop like seeds or a carrot in your offhand and then bonemeal in the other and hold right click on a block it instantly grows and plants, all you have to do is break the carrot. i think if your farming with bonemeal thats more effecient. anyway love the series!
This series is just so much fun to watch! It's enjoyable to watch your work thru the challenge of the "ugly" phase when we all know how beautiful you can build. It's also interesting to see how the basic mechanics of Minecraft work when you really have to exploit them to get resource when you are so very much constrained by Skyblock. Keep up the good work and for the love of all that is good, take care of that pinky!!!
Tip! Since you got Quartz, you should know that you can craft Diorite by combining Quartz and Cobblestone! I know Diorite isn't the most well-liked block, but I think it's fine (especially when used by good builders), and I feel like you don't get to be too picky in Skyblock, where your options are limited XD
fWhip! I've got a tip. If you go into "Accessibility" i think it is, you can turn on toggle shift for long bridging :) you won't need to hurt your pinkie anymore!
This feels like a great opportunity to remind everybody that crouch toggle is Minecraft's best accessibility feature, especially for skyblock and especially if your hands get tired easily. Love how this is coming together; don't want you to lose a potentially lovely island to a slip of the finger.
@@Jo3sX yeah, seriously. I put crouch on V and sprint on C. So I'm technically a thumb shifter, but in a much nicer way than Mumbo. What game decided sneak and sprint had to be under your little finger anyway? There are probably worse ergonomic decisions baked into game design culture, but I can't think of any
I feel like skyblock builds always go through a phase of being like, delightfully disastrous, but the charm definitely wears off after a bit. That villager area is looking quite cute though! Interesting to see what you come up with when the block pallet is so limited
I think a priority should be improving upon the gold farm even more. If you make a magma cube farm in the nether then you can get magma blocks. Meaning you can start working on the massive gold farm usually used in survival worlds, which will also act as an EXP farm for later so you can get stronger tools. Some other suggestions I will also give are.. A creeper farm. (By creating a villager home, a proper one, cats should be more likely to spawn with them around. Making it so you can create a proper creeper farm using cats and not have to worry about the redstone ones). This will give you a ton of TNT that you'll then be able to use for automatic tree farms and cobblestone farms. Making it so collecting resources wont be such a chore. Sugar cane farm (For reasons above as well. Plus getting paper to craft Rockets and books.) Expanding upon the carrot farm even more so you can get massive stonks on carrots. Carrot trades, means unlimited emeralds, means then golden carrot trades with Master Farmer villagers. Meaning unlimited best food. Passive mob spawning platform. If you can get sheep to spawn then you wont need to worry about wool ever again. Then my final suggestion for stuff to do is.. Expand out to the other islands. The areas around each island will act as a biome for said place. So the jungle island is a jungle biome, etc. This can then help towards making more efficient farms. For example the swamp island will be a swamp biome, which therefore could be used I believe for slime farms.
I absolutely love this series. Big crazy builds and giant fields are always cool, but I love seeing how you manage resources and get infrastructure set up in a skyblock world. It's just way more interesting to me. Looking forward to episode 3 and beyond!
Love the series! One tip for redstone and further progression is you can go into nether now, obtain blaze rods and craft a brewing stand! You can then get a cleric to sell you redstone and lapis! Now you got infinite redstone and lapis! Villagers are your best friend(sadly) in skyblock coming from someone who has been playing skyblock hardcore for over a year now!
I love these because it’s so different to what fwhip usually does and it still really interesting!❤ Love you so much you are such an inspiration and I love watching your build and taking inspiration from your builds!😊
you could use the soul sand from the piglins to make soul campfires for the iron farm, if you wanna speed it up a little. i like the "uglyness" of skyblock, it tells a story by itself you could say^^ amazing how much expansion was going on! you get 1 thing and everything else just falls into place, awesome xD
Great video! I really enjoy your style and how you're creating a world literally out of nothing. I loved that you're using a build from Wattles, I like his videos too!
Absolutely love this series not just because of the skyblock but because of ur personality its seriously so amazing :) I recently found ur channel and have been enjoying a lot of ur vids
New one to the channel, but sooooo happy that the algoritm chose to guide me here ! I'm a novice Minecraft player, so I'm learning tons from these videos, and they are loads of fun along the way... Love the energy, the jokes and the voice :)
Im more and more enjoying your videos. I remember when i first watched you. I was looking for videos of nice looking medieval houses and when i found you, i really enjoyed your style. Didn't watch you much at the time, but the more i watch you, the more excited i get every time i see a new video. And you seem like a genuinely nice person (staying out of controversial topics is a very good decision, haha). Soooo, thank you. You really put a smile on my face even when I'm having a shitty day.
PLEASE continue this series, you are doing really well, being efficient and funny, I would love this series to continue for a long time and i’ll do my best to watch and like every video!
Hurray, have been wishing for a skyblock series🥰🙌 There is also another challenge where the normal map is restricted area with a barrier keeping you stuck inside a square, and you need to work with whatever you get as you spawn into your restricted space. You can build up or down but the size is the same squared barrier size until it expands over time. Would be very fun to see you try this challenge as well. 😂❤
Get a grass block without Silk Touch: 1. let an enderman spawn somewhere 2. get him in a boat 3. ride the boat with the enderman next to a grass block 4. wait until the Enderman picks the grass block up 5. kill the enderman enjoy the grass block in your inventory and place it where you want your animals to spawn
There's a way to get rid of the piglins in the iron farm: make an outer line of blocks circling around the platform where the zombie pigmen spawn, make it 2 blocks of distance, put trapdoors in both ends and open them. That way the pigmen scare de piglins, they will recognize the open trapdoors as a walkable path and fall to the void while trying to get away from them.
You can tame the cat, you have fishing rods and the larger radius is only needed for loot excluding fish and maybe even the trash category but I'm so sure about that
Episode 2 you could work on getting to the rest of the islands and it might also be worth making your way to the bottom of the world for future mob farms. (They are faster at the bottom of the world)
All the bizarre tricks needed to get resources that are abundant in a normal Minecraft world are rather surreal to see. Question - is there any way to get blaze rods in Skyblock?
All the farms look great. What a flex! I would love to see you start making it more pretty. :) I really enjoy Skyblock and I am enjoying watching you play in it. Thank you for your videos.
As nice as the outdoor carrot farm looks, you'll probably want a roof for safety reasons. Don't want the farmer to get struck by lightning and turn into a witch.
I know its an older video, but when dealing with villagers, don't forget to cover them from sky access so they don't get hit with lightning and turn into witches. Also, moving them on only regular rails and a single furnace minecart is more simple than making and powering all the powered rails. Recent updates allow water-logging rails also, which prevents them from moving around as much.
Am I the only person that plays with toggleable sneak? You rarely need to just briefly sneak in Minecraft and when you do need to sneak, the pinky becomes painful quickly.
TIL: You can make infinite dirt with coarse dirt then tilling the land so it turns back into dirt. You never cease to teach me new things in minecraft!!
Quick tip: There's a vanilla way to "dupe" dirt - combine dirt with gravel (making course dirt) and then use a hoe to turn it back into regular dirt. Bartering with piglims is probably the easiest way to obtain gravel, unless there's a skyblock island that has it
Hope you enjoy today's episode of Skyblock Minecraft! What do you think about the new builds?! Any Tips??
One tip for using hoppers is to also place carpet on top of them, which not only lets the items flow more easily but it also prevents XP getting stuck too! Ok nvm lol, slabs work too!
Second??? Skyblock I love skyblock and 1 block also so far I love it 💕
I love this series pleaseee post more 😊
You might enjoy a cleric to trade emeralds for red stone.

You can also get granite
no idea why people dont like diorite, to me it just shows how little creativity some folk have
@@theofficialguy agreed, diorite is great!
and he has used it in his builds before
fWhip! I've got a tip. If you go into "Accessibility" i think it is, you can turn on toggle shift for long bridging :) you won't need to hurt your pinkie anymore!
Fwhip does more in one day of skyblock than i get done in a week
trust man that was like a few weeks worth of progress lol
this is more than one day, it likely took minimum of a week to film.
@@SevCaswell he knows
@@Walmuh1 he knows

Love how this is coming together; don't want you to lose a potentially lovely island to a slip of the finger.
I don’t understand why nobody changes the key binds. I’ve always put crouch on alt and sprint on shift. So much more comfortable.
@@Jo3sX yeah, seriously. I put crouch on V and sprint on C. So I'm technically a thumb shifter, but in a much nicer way than Mumbo.

fWhip really never misses!!! Can make such a long video entertaining. Good to watch and learn for my own content!
I'm enjoying watching your huge progress! The villager huts are so cute with their little lanterns.
I absolutely binged Gem's skyblock series and I am so happy you are doing one too! Really enjoying the series so far
Love the new episode! I'm glad that the worlds are okay from the crash. Maybe more decorating with greenery could help with the "ugliness"?
The progress is so satisfying

I’m loving this series so much ❤️
After watching the first episode I've been checking almost every day, waiting for this to drop :) great series and long may it last
If you dont want your pinky to hurt so much, when bridging turn on toggle crouch. I always do it when bridging in the end
who's watching this on 2024?
Me

I loved the "no witches?" moment, wasn't expecting that one

Yay! New skyblock episode!
cant wait to see what you do with this world man, good stuff coming!

Love you Fwhip!!! I love sky block!

It's a good thing you covered up the hoppers as xp would get stuck in them otherwise!

You should get masons next! It would unlock a tons of new blocks for you!
Jimmy’s raid was crazy glad fWhip posted 😅
in ep. 3 you should get another librarian for silk-touch to start getting stone so you can do the classic fwhip terraforming
Grow giant spruce trees using 4 saplings instead of smaller ones.Big trees means more wood but same amount of saplings.
Use the 2x2 spruce sapling to grow larger trees!
Wow I got tired just watching, that was a lot of farms, enjoying the series 😁😎.

Finally, I'm waiting for this episode! :)))
Loving this please keep making them
Tip - Grass will grow to a dirt block within a 3 block radius, so you can use less dirt to make the grass chain. However, it will take longer
You should make the spruce into large trees so it is more efficient and we all know you need that much spruce 😂
Hey fwip! I really love this Series so far! I would love to see an overview of that you’ve done so far.
1 campfire does the same as multiple campfires as far as golems go.
The series is over. This comment is falling on deaf ears.
As nice as the outdoor carrot farm looks, you'll probably want a roof for safety reasons. Don't want the farmer to get struck by lightning and turn into a witch.
See the piglins are smart as if they don't give you gravel you keep on giving gold , but they'll do it very rarely just to keep you interested
17:15 Im so immature, I laughed for a good few minutes at the fart noise.
I know its an older video, but when dealing with villagers, don't forget to cover them from sky access so they don't get hit with lightning and turn into witches. Also, moving them on only regular rails and a single furnace minecart is more simple than making and powering all the powered rails. on episode 3 you should aim to get full diamond gear and tools + making a gold farm on the nether
like if you agree
I never thought of skyblock as something fun to watch till now.
You should make a black smith villeger for full diamond armor!
Finally episode 2 is here!
I woke up because I got a nightmare and I saw a notification from this video, nice 🍞
All of the bees fwhip hoped for in the first episode have been spawning at the bottom of the world
Oh oh oh.. you need to make a nice living house with storage, smelting en your bed of course
I should sleep.. but hell do I need to watch this RIGHT now
Maybe build an automatic wheat and carrot farm?
