Notre Dame de Paris was, is and will be one of the most precious treasures of humanity. I can't find enough words of appreciation for the people who are working so hard to rebuild it.
I was in Paris april 15 2019, I witnessed the great fire that almost completely destroyed this beautifull cathedral. 😭Since my grandmother took me to this place at the age of 11 I fell in love with this monument. I visited the Church more than 20 times over the last 40 years. just as many people tears came up when I saw the building in flames. I sincerely hope that with the help of many, our generation Will be able to restore the Notre Dame. let iT rise from its ashes as a fenix, more beautifull than ever ✌️
France will rebuild Notre-Dame Cathedral. Many artisans will find work and centuries old trades will be revived. In the interim you may visit Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal Quebec Canada. This Basilica is stunningly beautiful and will not disappoint. If you have not been to Notre-Dame Basilica let me just tell you this. The interior is beyond words. If Montreal is the child of Paris, then the child is an achiever indeed. God bless the people of Paris.
Merci! Thank you SOOO much for posting this. Some of us who have never seen this cathedral in person, and who never will see the original nastalgia are truly grateful for those who post these so we too can catch glimpse of what the cathedral was like.
The only thing missing from this video, is the feeling of grandeur you had when you entered the monument. It is difficult to see from this camera angle, because the camera is mostly oriented towards what you can see at eye level , but when you walk in and you look up you feel super small and mesmerized all at the same time. I don't quite know how to describe the feeling. Very intimidating (the "house of God." ) Also, the stunning, massive stained glass windows deserve a lot more camera time. Other than that, thank you very much for showing us what was inside.
this is really a great video I am so glad you made it and share it with the world. I'm really high right now and I'm watching this with the vol tuned down listening to Eddie Hazel and I'm really enjoying it. This might be the best documentary footage of Notre Dame and I thank you for taking it.
I was fortunate to be able to take my daughters to Paris three years ago. Of course we spent time in this stunningly beautiful place. It is heartbreaking that it has been so damaged and that so many priceless works of art inside are gone forever. Note Dame will rise again as it did after the Revolution when many attempts were made to destroy it. Have Faith and God Bless.
better? how can it be better? how can something that is 1 year old be better than something that's 800 years old? Even after 800 years after it won't be better. Different, something else... yes, but better?! No fucking way, you dub liberal ass! Better if you learn a lesson!
THANK YOU for sharing this. I am one that never had a chance to visit this incredible piece of history. I'm sure France will rebuild and find a way to restore this piece of history. It's a truly a devastating loss.
I was fortunate to have toured this historical beauty first in 1969, then took my children in 1989. We climbed up on the side and took breathtaking photos. I am devastated at this huge loss. My condolences to all French citizens on this unfortunate disaster. I and the world are looking forward to see this rebuilt, and willing to contribute my part.
Like everyone else I'm here to see what I would never see in person at this point in my life it kind of has the Library of Alexandria feel stuff is lost in change that will never be the same and perhaps that's all a part of the grand plan for the cathedral certainly was a beautiful place and I look forward to seeing what will be
Sadly, there is no god... Fixing this will rely on people - no god around to help, I'm afraid. Lovely old building, more important for architctual, historical and cultural reasons. Its religious significance is immaterial - and has been for many decades. Most French are atheists, or at least indifferent about god nonsense. But the value of this building is appreciated - even by us atheists. And - as people - we will support all efforts to its restoration - no god needed.
If only there was a god, he could have prevented the cathedral from burning down in the first place. As an atheist, I pity the loss of this building, it's cultural and historical value. It will be rebuilt, with money, not with god.
They removed all the art and statues prior. Never replicate ancient architecture. You can see it deliberately hit by a DEW laser weapon! See aplanetruth2

Not merely the damage to the structure itself but also the loss of the countless, beautiful and priceless works of art. Regards from America. We share in your sadness on this day.
