I remember how I struggled with Jealousy for people doing better than me in the same field as mine, until it got to a point I became so jealous of even people outside my field. People i need not compare myself to.
But i really prayed, and then the Holy Spirit taught me through a friend anytime I feel jealous, i should be INTENTIONAL about saying all what I am in Christ- that is I'm not jealous but I love people and I'm happy to see people excel.
Today I feel nothing but love for people, but anytime the thoughts of jealousy comes to mind, I quickly counter it with the word of God.
Never focus on what you're not, because whatever you focus on, it amplifies. So I don't focus on the jealousy thought, rather I now focus of love thoughts.

The aspect of reciting 1Cor 13 is an highlight of this movie for me
This is so educative and inspiring. For me, I see parents being the genesis of rivalry between their children in subtle ways. It was obvious how Luke was reprimanded for his brother within the shortest time possible but when it's Nathaniel time the parent are slow to respond. Nathaniel was receiving the praise and hugs on arrival but for Luke it was unpleasant comment.
May God help parents to strike balance in showing love to their children and quench the fire of hatred and low self-esteem within siblings. The Devil has failed over our families in Jesus's name.
I don't really think so. I think it was Luke's heart that was bitter so he saw every comment/correction as resentment. The parents were merely happy for seeing their son they thought couldn't make it. I think theirs was a little of the prodigal son and his brother, looking for issues where there was none
@@lauraiyke860 I understand your view, but, really see how Luke was quickly reprimanded when he said "I'm my brother's keeper" yet the parents wouldn't respond when Nathaniel kept saying he couldn't hear his brother speaks and call him a fool. Little things like this builds up overtime as they grow and create bitterness and envy, and of course the "favourite" usually knows and use it at their advantage.
I'm emphasis this because this plays out in reality. Parents tends to scold the elder ones in the family at the slightest mistakes yet overlook the youngest for same action all in the name of "LAST BORN".

Love among siblings is the best thing that can ever happen to any family. My brothers and i stayed for years without talking to each other, just because of hatred, bitterness, malice etc because we all gave satan the chance to get at us by listening to " i hear say". Our parents try their best so we can live in peace to no avail, to say all us are christians tongues and spirit filled christians😅. Hmm thanks to God who divinely intervain last year through a revelation he gave to our elder brother which everyone took it to heart and there came our restoration, glory to God. Its very important for parents to handle and treat problems between siblings before it get out of hand, jelousy comes when we turn to compare our children to their brother/sister. Every parent is supose to appreciate thier children for who and what they are. And also know that every child is different from the other.
