In all honesty the game suffered 6 issues 1.Graphics weren't what was promised, 2. the A.I. programming spelling errors that screwed to sh-t the game's A.I. mechanics. 3.the over usage of synthetic enemies over Xenos seriously the game was NAMED ALIENS not Synths.. 4. The fact the NPC helper was completely useless and ADS targeting was honestly REALLY Meh.. 5. The lack of actual fear, and sense of dread. 6. The story was half-assed.. The reason for all of this, was the fact the studio placed in charge was Gearbox Studios who F-ked the fanbase over and used 75% of the game's budget and script writting resources instead on Borderlands 2. A real d-ck move honestly... What made it worse is that upon release they still grievously and greedly overcharged pre-orders to a dispicable degree, and to this day they were not sued or punished for that transgression by their gamers, their Customers. (Scummy move...) If The game was rebranded with all of it's shortcomings & PROPERLY fixed by another studio then maybe we'd get the Colonial Marines game we were all actually promised. Before I grow too old I hope someone out there gives us a Colonial Marines Aliens game that's worthy of the franchise. Fireteam Elite felt like it was partly on the right track but due to the studio being so tiny it suffered issues with multiplayer connectivity and scummy marketing schemes. I want to see the people who worked on BOTH the Dead Space Remake and Resident Evil 4 Remake give us a ALIENS Colonial Marines Game that is WORTHY of it's fans patience and dedication People who UNDERSTAND HORROR and actual Gun mechanics.
At least someone out there agrees with the points I'm making about the game to be honest. Another issue was that stupid Gearbox didn't run a BETA TEST of the game that was closer to it's launch date had they pulled their respective heads out of their asses and done so 70% of the issues could've easily had been avoided. What's really insulting is that they even snuck some Alien and Predator Challenges and Achievements into Borderlands 2 as a royal F.U. to all of their faces of the people who put their faith in to A.C.M. which is just plain messed up.@@GameIntrosFinales
This game, to me, always felt like a Total Conversion mod for Call of Duty, Shame, I had high-hopes for it. A friend even staged an intervention when I wanted to preorder it. (lol) I eventually got it at a Steam Sale at -90% off.... I still think I overpayed!
Even after 11 years this game still sucks. Jesus, how could Gearbox make such a big mistake? But despite the fact that I have my own opinion about this game, your videos are nice.

Yes, the game was advertised as an AAA-Aliens COD, but was a disappointment to most people on release.
Loved the story and the multiplayer dlc underrated game
the most heinous enemy in this game are the doorframes.
