      Do they edit first then add voice or first collect all video make as sequence then write voice over thing then add record voice thing then add all.
      Am I write or wrong please advice on this?

    I honestly had not thought about using a drone for these kinds of shots. I often use my drone for shots from far up, or motion shots, but I can literally pretend it's a camera on a tripod up ahead. Great idea!!

    I am a bit old and slow to get some of the great shots you do, however I recently was on a 4 hour kayak float to a cave and spring that you can paddle into. Rather than try to pick my shots, as I didn't know where the white water was, or the exact location of the cave, I just kept the Go Pro running the entire trip, changing batteries during pee or lunch break. It took a long time to go thru to select the shots I wanted, however I didn't miss anything and ended up with a decent 20 minute video. (In my opinion...)

    Hey Jeven
    Firstly thank you for all of the advice and films you make they have made a real difference to my TH-cam channel and improved it for the better.
    You said if you want to know something then just ask, I have a question and it real impacts on my film making a lot, I live in the U.k and in the U.k we have a lot of days and weeks were we have bad or poor light and it has spoiled some of my filming on my days out, I have tried different settings on my camera (X-T4) such as ISO, exposer, lens and even extra lighting from leds, but even then I still get bad film from poor lighting when I thought it was ok.
    Any help with this annoying issue would be very much appreciated.
    Kind Regards

    Hi Jeven, Do you suggest an audio recorder instead of using the wireless mic for vlogging? :)

  • @botnot5618
    @botnot5618 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    The only addition I would like to make to idea of larger memory cards is - get a genuine remote for your camera. Modern ones provide that option. It should allow you to start/stop recording remotely, or at least in line of sight for the camera. It would make you edit less in post, and shorten the bulky records on the card. Otherwise - great techniques. Thanks

    • @joemzd
      @joemzd 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I learned Filmic Pro (if your using an phone to film) has a watch app that lets you remotely start and stop recording (to piggyback off your comment about remotes).

    • @JevenDovey
      @JevenDovey  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Issue is if the remote disconnects and stops recording or theres an error with the connecting then you have to do the shot over and it will take more time. Easier to carry bigger cards and just let it roll longer

    So what is best memory card size to use? I've heard some other youtubers talk about not getting cards too big because you may not be inclined to purge as often since they hold more images/video. So what's the best "not too little, not too big" compromise?

    Are you never worried about walking too far away from your camera, if there is other people around? I made a selfie of me last month, where I had to walk for like 5 min. to reach the other side of a ridge. Had the camera shoot every 6 seconds in IntervalTimer. But when I came back, two people stood and looked at my camera and I was like “WTF go away” 😅
