- "Walk on the Ocean" is one of Toad the Wet Sprocket's biggest hits (peaking at #10 of Billboard's Top 40 in January 1993). Fans will hear the song at any Toad show they attend. Fans should expect to hear "Walk on the Ocean" at any Glen Phillips solo concerts as well. While other hits like "Fall Down," "Good Intentions," and "Something's Always Wrong" occasionally make an appearance in his setlists, both "All I Want" and "Walk on the Ocean" are played at virtually all of Phillips' shows. This particular performance of Glen Phillips playing "Walk on the Ocean" was recorded at one of his solo shows at the Los Angeles Music Academy in Pasadena, CA on February 2nd, 2011. It was recorded by Jeff Lester and Ali Anthony using the following equipment:
Video: Kodak Playsport
Audio: MXL1006 to R-09HR + DPA4061 to Edirol R-09
"Something's Always Wrong" was played immediately after "Walk on the Ocean" at this show. Listen to this full video to hear Glen Phillips theorize how "Something's Always Wrong" may sound if it had been recorded by Neil Diamond. Visit www.comebackdow... for additional Toad/Glen history!
