No need to take throttle mechanism off. The cable can be easily disconnected and carb removed in less than three minutes.

The float bowl O ring can be revitalised by putting it in a saucer and pouring boiling water on it.

Thank you for sharing! I have a Honda FZCZ with a similar carburetor and linkage arm. A question. At 09:16 which part has the return spring? On mine it just moves freely back and forth. The motor starts and keeps running on full throttle and I can’t even pull the arm back to idle position. When you push the arm, on mine, it would be idling. When you release it, on mine, it’s full throttle. Is it the same on yours? If so, how is the motor supposed to idle in relaxed state and only throttle up when you press the actual throttle?
On a weed wacker etc there are a return spring on the carb slide where the cable is attached on the top. That return spring ensures the engine returns to idle. That return spring function seems to be missing.
Does it make any sense to you??
    Thank you

Just found this video which was really useful. I have one of these machines that has never run properly and cleaning the Jet has made a difference. However I cannot see the linkage which connects the carburettor very clearly. I am sure that I have an issue with this linkage, have you a video of this?

The linkage is pretty weird. It looked wrong when I put mine back together but it seems to rev okay with the throttle. My main jet was clear though - mine must have some other problem… back into it tomorrow.

Make sure the spring which connects to the carburettor butterfly linkage is in the correct hole, there are two holes. The correct hole is the one furthest away from the cylinder head.
