Those minimal parts are CRAZY...kinda helped me to have an appreciation for "weirder" music indirectly, when I think about it. Amazing this whole soundtrack is under 20 minutes
The caverns 8-bit-blip-blop music that got remade in Samus Returns is Caverns 1 Theme (Area 3, Sector 1) Caverns 4 Theme (Area 3, Sector 3) Would love some rendition of the other two caverns
I know this is an old video, but, I have to say I love this so much. Pairing up the soundtrack with game footage really makes this enjoyable. I wish this was a standard, honestly!
I really appreciate the footage synced to the soundtrack. It's essentially a music video :) One of my two favourite VG soundtracks of all time (this, and Streets of Rage 3)
The Federation hired her to finish a job they couldn't. The Chozo made her to redeem them of their sins. In the end, she defied them all by making the choice to let the last Metroid live.
Before there was Resident Evil this was one of my favorite games as a kid. I played this game for hours. The good old fashioned days back when games had less or no dialogue certain games had no save points. Back when Gamestop used to be called Babbage's. Those were the days simple times.
People love to bag on the music from this game. It was perfect for the game. 8bit gameboy music is not something that people really can appreciate or know unless they seperate themselves from what is expected today.
WOW! Nostalgia overload! _Metroid II: Return of Samus_ is such an amazing game with such amazing music! It matches the tone of the game, and the tone is _perfect_ for it! It's adventurous, creepy, bizarre, remote, and futuristic! I'd love to hear a remastered/orchestrated version of these that doesn't sound _too_ different from these originals! That'd be really cool! I _love_ this game! I only wish they made more of them, without changing much! Beautiful! 💖
I've been humming the Surface theme in my head for past couple days - then I finally got around to listening to the full OST, and.... wow it's pretty weak, LOL. But that surface theme is dope.
O diis mio pedazo de música y pedazo de título que buenos momentos ojalá volver a esa época inolvidable que nostalgia que infancia tan buena con juegos como este imposible olvidarlo pero bueno buen video 😊🥺😭
I do love me some ear bleed in the morning ! I owned a gameboy and i know the gameboy was underpowered but my nostalgia was destroyed, just like my ears.....
this game and music are ingrained in my psyche. .

Honestly, the silent parts of the soundtrack incensed dread in me as a kid.
Same with me. Nintendo knew this. Probably why the new Metroid game is called Dread
Incensed? You mean instilled

Really helps with the atmosphere they were going for. The ruins music... Not so much.
The songs increasing tension and dread was definnetley intentional

Wow, I never spent that much time in the Title Screen to realize how long was the melody.
"Her name is Samus? I thought it was Metroid!" - Some kid

Fun fact, did you know the beeping sounds in the caverns are the same noise the EMMI make in Metroid Dread?
Listening to this to compare AM2R's and Samus Returns' soundtracks to the original. Thanks for uploading!
I prefer am2r
It's fascinating how the dev team went about with the music from Gameboy
RIP Gunpei Yokoi

Out of all title themes on the Game Boy. This game has the best title theme and it's part of my childhood.
It takes too long to get to the actual music though
Dissonance is music

The music from this game lives deep within my memory palace, etched into my bones
Thank you, I came here for the caverns 1 theme music - for some reason it was stuck in my head for the last few days.
I'm glad to play this first than AM2R and Samus Returns
Great presentation. Thanks for this.
the ancient chozo ruins sound so goofy to me. But otherwise a really good soundtrack
Caverns 3 sounds like the talking/typing in Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out!
You might wanna change those batteries.
Thanks for the high quality upload king.
it's hard to find perfect loops but this is still really god damn nice
The Most Dangerous Game Boy.
Caverns 4 is lit🔥🔥🔥

Creepy caverns are dread~
One day i will play this game, i played almost all Metroid 2 Games (except for the original, Metroid ll and soon Metroid Dread!) :D
Looks like your battery is low.
I remember it took me a whole month for me to beat this game. Fighting off those Zebes.
I do love me some ear bleed in the morning !
