It’s ALL about the Defense. The clown media can talk about Kirk all they want but the defense was HORRIBLE last year. Every QB seemed to throw for 350+. Mike White, Daniel Jones, Max Jones, Justin Fields, Goff, Murray, Matt Ryan, on and on….
Daniel Jones needs to thank Ed Donatell for his contract.

True but Matt Ryan only threw for like 182 or so believe it or not. They really stopped him in the 2nd half.
We also had an Offensive Line that allowed 40+ QB sacks. Those are the weak points on this team. No Interior Offensive Line and no Defense. “No Offensive Line = no real Offense.” (I forget who said that. Possibly George Allen). “Offense sells tickets; Defense wins ballgames.” Bud Grant

Hopefully with cook gone ham gets more attention. I feel like he should have been used more like the 49ers use their fb. It was awesome watching cousins play the pro bowl with that dude and hopefully he and koc notice how well a fb can be used and be another sneaky weapon on the field to utilize
This is the video I needed for the day. I am pumped for my vikings 🙌. Jordan Addison is lighting shit up. JJ is Godlike and don't forget KJ Osborne. Brian Flores is bringing 🔥 our defense up multiple levels. Ivan Pace Jr will be a stud. Our running game will bowl over defensive lines. Kirk has got 🔥 one helluva arm. I haven't been this excited 😆 ever.
I think a big narrative last year for our defense is they often didn't know where to go, the LBs were often confused. I think Flores solves that and simplifies things. His defenses always play hard with 5 guys in on every tackle, even late in games.

Football season is so close and there will be a lot storylines this year. I can't wait to see how the Vikings will be.

People say we got lucky last year winning 13 games. But in reality I think it is down to two things: 1. The players play hard for the coach and 2. The coach makes excellent decisions when it is needed, late in games, and they execute that. (See: Bills game, Colts game).
Conversely, see the play that ended the season. It was an abhorrent play call.

I don’t like giving the teams ceilings. I think every team has the potential to surprise any year. I am keeping my fingers crossed that this is one of those underdog stories. I have had several dreams of the Vikings winning the superbowl. I gotta persevere as a fan.

My prediction is that we won't have as many wins as last year, but we will be a better team, winning a few games in convensing fashion. Somewhere between 9-8 & 12-5 depending on how things go.

They can. As a vikings fan myself, what I saw is an offense that was so heavily relied on because of an absolute terrible D I think thay pretty much were overwhelmed. If the defense was just a quarter better, I think they win that game.
You act like they got absolutely destroyed or something, the offense was good the defense was just an all time terrible defense so it couldn’t stop anything but they still lost by one score

They could be a top 4 team in the NFC, that's not a huge leap. And if that's true, they've just got to find a way to win 2 games to be in the superbowl. The football bounces weirdly sometimes.

As a Vikings fan I'm excited for the season. Of course I want them to win but I'm also proud of the team's character. Kwesi, Kevin and Kirk are great people and lead the right way. This sounds really cheesy but I legit am inspired to be a better person when I watch their press conferences.
Anyone doubting Mattison, go watch the games where he had to start when Cook was banged up.
A video worth watching, thanks. If Cine does in fact break out, it's a 12-win season for sure (assuming OK injury luck), but he's having a difficult camp, perhaps he's not 100 percent yet physically.
He has actually been very good in camp. O’Connell is running him with the second team defense because he is still recovering but we should be able to see how good he is during the preseason games.

@@thebosstaco6870Nah, he's making too many mistakes in camp. Mistakes that Bynum isn't making, so no. There's no working him into the rotation, the dude just isn't good.
Their 3 WR sets are gonna be absolutely scary this coming season. KJ can carry the team if needed, he's proven it week in and week out. He's a great physical runner after the catch.
I hear alot of talk about mattison and addison, but look for 2nd year ty chandler to get some looks and as of now i still see osborn as the better overall 2nd best option outside of JJ.

Love the video, but 22 Personell only leaves one receiver instead of 2. I think we will see a lot of 21 and 12 personell as well for that reason.

Think Vikings will be about a 11-12 win team this year. Offense gonna light up top 7 to top 5. And with our defense being young and athletic I think that will keep it as a modest defense. Hoping for atleast an average at best defense but after being ranked 31st last year there’s only up from here
Oh dang that’s crazy about Ed Ingram. The right side usually been was solid with O’Neil. But Bradbury under center, teams know there is a big weak spot on the right side. And to think that’s Kirk’s good side 😮

I did yes, good catch. I meant 12 personnel with Mattison, Hock, Oliver, JJ, and Addison all on the field at the same time
Vikings will shock Plilly and win.
Vikes have 2 of the best tackles in the game. They also have a bottom 5 OL overall. You'd think they'd draft at least 1 replacement for the interior, but you'd be wrong. They also have zero OL depth. On the flip side, they have 1 good player on their defensive front 7 and maybe 1 CB who can cover. Our 2022 draft class was a complete bust because of a rookie GM who decided to trade with 2 diviion rivals so they could move up and grab who they felt they needed. In 2023, Kwesi spent half the draft trying to make up for pissing away draft picks including a 6th round he gave away for Jalen Reagor. Brian Flores was a great pick up if you love 1 year rentals but I don't know why he'd come to a place with 4 players worth talking about. Vikes defense is going to be horrible and Flores isn't going to look great.

I'm hoping they will at least go 11-6 but they could start out 3-4 , then the last 4games cin,det twice,&GB is rough , det twice could've beat the vikes last season. &The 2nd game the vikes weren't even close in the game due to no defense . But what's cool , is the team listened to the fans complaints of non aggressive defense and agreed & got a great aggressive defense coach , we will c once the season starts,

You run the ball to keep the defense honest. This is like the Moss factor. It doesn't work! You run or pass on whatever the defense gives you. Don't run to just run. Our defense is much improved. We will win because of the defense plays. We need to focus on our IOL. I hope we can improve there.
It’s less about the Vikings offense and more about how their defense will do.
The Vikings have been pathetic on defense for three years. They just don’t have the talent to be a top half defense. But this year they have a major upgrade at Defensive Coordination with Brian Flores.
I think the fact that both the Vikings head coach and Defensive coordinator were students under Bill Bilichick while also having the greatest receiver in the league isn’t being taken as seriously as it should be.
Booth and Cine both disappointed in camp, neither made many steps this year. Blackmon and Evans were the standouts in camp at the corner position, and the Vikings are deep at safety, keeping 6 on the roster.
If they play to their POTENTIAL I'm predicting an 11-12 win season. In the NFC, anything seems possible

I expect this will be a slight rebuild season where they win 7-9 games and then the next year they will have all the pieces to become a top 10 team
Not sure how much 22 personnel they will run. Think they'll use it more as a counter punch. Best lineup is honestly probably in 11 with JJ, Addison, KJ, Hock on the field.

A decent running attack,top 5 in passing,and a top 15 DEFENSE in the NFC then VIKINGS could surprise everyone
the big question for the vikings, in my opinion, is what was the major problem on defence. was it ed donatell, or the players. i think it was more Ed that lack of player skill, but we'll see in september.
Also have CJ Ham to punch in goal line TDs. They will miss some of the big Cook runs but he had so many zero-negative yardage runs. Run game killed so many drives in the middle of games. That's why they score most their pts in 1st and 4th quarters.
If the defense can get off the field more often than they did last year, Vikings will be contenders.

I'm not worried about our offense. People forget we were 13-4 with the league's worst defense. We need our defense to be able to stop teams

Im honestly surprised at how many people have the Vikings coming up with a losing season this year. KOC has completely changed the makeup of the Vikings brand of football, the offense hasnt changed all that much, and the defense was the biggest sore spot out of all the problems they had last year. With a potentially improved defense under Brian Flores and having the same OC two years in a row for the first time in a while. The Vikings should be a dark horse pick to win it all.
They’re not going to use 22 personnel more, instead it’s 12 personnel for the run game. They have the best receivers in the league… and no proven back after Cook left. I doubt they’ll utilize 22 personnel

The only way we can become “dangerous” is if we beat the higher teams like the Eagles, Chiefs, Buccaneers and etc. We don’t want to start off very poorly. We want to have the same winning record like the Eagles and chiefs did and how they got there. We want to have whatever they had in their juices and then some.
The problem for us is (based on both Vikings fans and other critics) our defense has been crap for the past couple years(except 2017 when we got to the NFC championship but we all know what happened afterwords). Let’s prove it to everybody that the Vikings can get to a Super Bowl and win 1 or 4 and not be called Overrated Trash Exposed “FRAUDS” etc. our problem has been mostly the defense but since we got Flores he can “supposedly” turn it around for us u less ed donatell so donabish as I like to call him or donashell (as told by others)

People don’t know the names off defense and instantly think Minnesota got worse. The only real loss on that side of the ball was dalvin Tomlinson who was a slightly above average Dtackle. Asamoah at this point in his career offers more than Kendrick’s, Murphy is Multiple times over peterson, the other corners all are immediately better than dantzler, Shelley, Bynum.
