90s Cowboys had to endure a 1-15 season the first year after they hired Jimmy Johnson. Reality of getting back up. If you are placed high in the draft and could somehow find another team desperate to trade up again, could be a good haul. Or the spark this team needs if best player available is the real deal.

I'm a Kyler believer, so I'd definitely keep him on the shelf. Nobody's on the hot seat, and trading down - even to 3 or 4 - with Caleb Williams on the board could be an insane haul.
I want to see Kyler in the new offense first, Kyler was struggling last year in an offense he’s ran his whole life. if he doesn’t adapt to the new scheme, the cards are gonna have to make a change at offensive coordinator or qb, but I’m also not sold on Caleb Williams, the track record for USC qbs in the NFL is almost as bad as Ohio state. If not for Carson Palmer, USC would probably be just as bad as Ohio state. But what’s crazy is Carson Palmer was the best USC qb in the NFL and he still had a lot of haters.

@@gatorademan69 I'm glad that you mentioned that USC Qbs historically are terrible. I always ask people name a USC QB not named Carson Palmer who had long term success in the NFL, and they can never name anyone. I think Caleb Williams is overrated simply because he has only gone up against mid-tier Pac 12 and Big 12 defenses, neither conference is known for strong defenses these days. If Caleb played in the Big 10 and dunked on Ohio State or Michigan, I would understand that hype.

Just a few things, Michael Wilson is going to be their #2 receiver, Budda got more money and isn’t looking for a trade anymore, and I don’t think there’s any chance K1 misses “most of the season”
I swear sometimes I feel like most people do as little research as possible and only hear the media news from espn and other networks. I love this channel and I was hoping they’d be different about it too unfortunate really
K1 definitely gonna miss most if not ALL the season. Dude won't be ready till 1yr after injury, probably in Nov or Dec. And that's ready, not 100%. Cardinals are probably already gonna be out of playoff talk by then so why put the QB out there to get hit? He may play as long as there's playoff hope, but I don't see that being all that high for Cardinals. Kyler probably done being a Cardinal.

Considering kyler is already doing weighted full sprints while rehabing, I wouldn’t be surprised if he comes back to play against the cowboys. And this year is pure development for those young guys like, micheal Wilson, Johnson jr, bj ojulari, Garrett Williams and to see what positions need upgrades obviously.
There defense imo are gonna be better then people expect, and kyler under an actual nfl coordinator that runs the ball with help him a lot, that worked out for shorter qbs like Bree’s and Pierre thomas, and Russ and lynch.
As a Cardinals fan, I just want them to win more home games

What I hope is that Gannon can establish something similar to the 2021 Lions team. They just need to be competitive and develop the young talent on the roster. With the larger cap space and draft haul for next year, the team will look significantly different next season.

Cardinals fan was like 8 when we lost the Super Bowl to the Steelers im 23 now and I believe in Kyler and Gannon hopefully they prove something
Very thorough and fair analysis of the Cards. I have a feeling they will get a few surprise wins during this rebuild season.
The road ahead isn’t that long. Arizona is set to have $90M+ in cap space next year (once a few aging expensive vets are released) and they run the draft board next year. Just in the 1st 4 rounds they have two 1st’s and I think HOUs will be a top 5 pick, a 2nd, 3rd, 3rd, 3rd, 3rd and 4th, 4th in the first four rounds. Arizona will be back to contention next year.
This year Arizona has the talent offensively to have a top 10 offense with a healthy Kyler Murray back on the field behind a really good OL and fairly loaded WR and TE corps, Connor is an exceptional pass catching back himself. Murray is almost healthy and will be back in the very near future in all likelihood week 2 or 3 he makes his debut. This offense will highlight his strengths and be much better for his growth as a QB, he had to carry Kliffs offense on his back his first 3 seasons and was playing an MVP level in 20/21 finishing 2021 ranked in the top 5 of almost every advanced passing statistic. And defensively theyre young but they have talent everywhere across all 3 levels, this team is going to be a lot better this season with a healthy Murray back at QB than they are getting credit for.
Murray isn’t going anywhere, Arizona will build around him and using the ridiculous amount of resources they have to build with aroudn Murray is their fastest way back to contention and they could be back in the mix as soon as next year. With Murray at QB this team could win 9-10 games this year if everything goes right with the talent they have offensively, this year is just about setting a strong foundation to build upon over the off season. A healthy Murray will bounce back playing at an elite level this next season making his 3rd Pro Bowl and with a Texas sized chip on his shoulder he could bounce back playing at an All-Pro level this season in a career year.
The Cards future really does entirely depend on how well this and next year's draft classes perform. If they blow too many of them, they're be like that dreadful St. Louis Rams team of the late 00s. Which is just fine with me since I'm a Seahawks fan.

It makes sense logically, nonetheless. Problem is, who's taking on Kyler on that deal? There's some spots where it makes sense tho (in theory). Minnesota, Washington, Tampa, Vegas, Tennessee, or Atlanta COULD potentially be in the QB market next season.

i believe this team could actually have a complete turn around by 2024 they'll have 80 million dollars in cap room and 12 draft picks in 7 rounds not to mention 6 in the first 3 rounds this could be a very short rebuild

Simmons is not even starting for Arizona this year, he is on the second team. Pretty sure that if Arizona ends up with the first overall pick, they will trade in a heartbeat to gather capital and make this team even better
Ironically I’m extremely excited too see the cardinals this year, just the thought of a miraculous season gives me goosebumps, no matter how impossible it seems.

@@jtwk3400 yea the Seahawks had/have a proven head coach and an excellent draft in 2022, the cardinals got a lot more people to prove wrong but we will see if they hit on their head coach and draft soon enough

Move Murray while he still has value. We need the picks to rebuild O/D lines, LB core and CB. DJ is solid, Paris is potential but the rest are replacement level with no depth on the chart at ANY position. CB's are N and D backs and developmental futures. Our best players are our S's, 1 HB with no depth, a TE on the decline and Our 'star player' is a tweener. Our PK is as old as our coach. To think a Kyler return or drafting Caleb is the answer then maybe watch more football. Move Murray rebuild the team starting with the lines.

They already built a statue of Kyler, and gave him full support in the media by making it clear he is their guy.
Trading down from 1 overall to a QB hungry team like the Bucs who will also have a high pick could let them get Marvin Harrison Jr or Brock Bowers to give Kyler some weapons, and get other capital to invest in the defense. That would be a very good team.

Trade out is the only right answer unless this ACL actually makes kyler forget how to play football because the guy has proven he can play at an mvp level even under horrible management and the most predictable play calling in the recent history of the leagye
I'm also a Kyler fan, his first two years were cool,in 2022 when they were 7-0 and all of sudden all big games we lost you cannot blame one Man defense gave it up and the offensive line was not blocking. I still feel the fix was in. I almost forgot this statement, I like Kyler but I can't understand why he was given all that money "what are they hiding" there not going to pay him the bullshit is coming.

Yes, Zach Ertz still gets open. The problem is more often than not, he's not being thrown to. Kyler, for whatever reason, can't see the middle of the field, whether that's because he's not making the reads properly, or more likely, he's too short to see over his linemen. Maybe with a zone-blocking scheme they'll open up some windows, as the beefy power blockers favored by Kliff did Kyler no favors.
And to be clear, a criticism is not synonymous with hate. As athletic as he is, as powerful as his arm is, he's simply too short. The uber-athletic scrambling quarterback favored nowadays, with his ability to make something happen, has coaches and fans dreaming about possibilities and blind to shortcomings. If it's not height that challenges these guys, it's their slight frame. Doug Flutie didn't make it in the league for so long precisely because of this, and it was only after a prolonged apprenticeship proving himself in the CFL that he became a viable journeyman and found some success. Tua, Bryce Young, Kyler, and Russell Wilson all fit this prototype. So did Vick. Even more unique are the athletic quarterbacks with size, most famously Mahomes, but including Cunningham and Drake Maye. Mahomes took a beating but ultimately won the game because he had the frame to absorb the hits. And let's not forget scrambling quarterbacks finally find success when they hone their skills as passers. Age, injuries, or both will take away the ability to scramble, and unless they've made themselves a capable passer, they'll be exposed. Think how quickly Cam Newton went downhill, and why.

The first round pick will get them 3 more future first round picks, not caleb williams who is from USC and every rookie qb has a high chance to be a bust, kyler has proven his playing capability in the NFL

This is a rebuild year with Tune as QB1 and let these rookies get there experience. After that we're going with K1 and let somebody pay for Caleb for more picks, get Marvin Harrison Jr and stabalize the Defense fit 2024/25 and get a serious contender for the SB
