Beck has always been a chameleon and his latest Colors finds him returning to the incredibly upbeat songs that drove earlier albums like Odelay and Guero. This performance, recorded at the Village, includes lots of fan favorites plus excellent renditions of highlights from Colors.

5 years & I am still addicted to this album.
Beck's new album, Colors, is awesome. The music itself is great, but what I love is that it's 180 degrees opposite of Morning Phase (which was an unbelievable album, btw). Rather than try to recapture Morning Phase, he's moved on to something different like he always does. Genius.
ericstrains Hate to tell ya.. but Morning Phase was already done with Sea Change, and Mutations. Morning Phase is a companion album to Sea Change.

It's like he thought "I'll do a pop album this time" and he puts out a fantastic pop album. Whatever he puts his hand to ge manages to put a great album out.

All the angles they shot Beck from make him look like he's absolutely terrified. It's as if the guy behind the camera is pointing a gun at him and forcing him to sing this song for like the 20th time.

This is really bad. I mean talk about lame on all levels...lyrics, thin sound, production etc. if someone played this album for me blindfolded, I wouldn’t know it was beck. It is comical looking at Beck’s expression because he looks like he is completely lost. Like in Spinal Tap when the 17 inch model of Stonehenge lands on the stage.
Funny how you will always get someone who just hates something that everyone else is absolutely in love with. Including me. Opinions are completely valid though. But heck, I love this album like nothing else.
The hell You want from production... It's THE ONLY thing that actually works in here. But I agree, this Kurstin collab definitely went wrong.
