On the original recording the backup vocals are the same. It is meant to be that way. Beck knows how to mix sound and isn’t too egotistical to put himself front and center every time. He has a few songs where the backup singers are up front with him.
@@freshpack8928 are you sure?? I don’t know I could be wrong but it sounds like it’s Becks vocals on the studio version and he just layered him singing high over him singing lower. I think it just made more sense for this live version for him to sing the low parts and the backup vocalists the high parts
I still remember driving around during the summer of 2015 and jamming to this song and 'Dead Inside' by MUSE, my local radio station would play them often and it was great, two amazing tunes!
Drums aint difficult to play loudly, believe me. Back in my old band, the drums were louder than anything else we had setup, even huge amps for the guitar, bass, and vocals.
You can say whatever you want about his expression being a full commitment to the performance and deep concentration in the song but he's clearly high...
I look the same when I turn my headphones up full and listen to Beck restarting the songs and humming his extra cool songs. Cellphone's Dead is next...
This entire set was so good. It would be awesome to get a vinyl of this. I wonder how hard it would be for KCRW to do pressings of some of their content ?
I wish Beck was my dad. He seems like he'd teach me some funky guitar riffs and would be pretty chill in general. I think if I did something wrong he wouldn't get mad, he would get disappointed, which would be soul crushingly hurtful and I would never do it again. I'm not a weirdo, I'm just dreaming and don't have a dad, let me have my moment
Haha the death state is not new. Recall seeing it for the first time during the union chapel concert and guess I’m doing fine over a decade back. Why are there not more shots of the bassist. He’s excellent.
I love this series -- so great that you share these amazing performances with the whole internet except maybe china. (It would be even greater if you'd share the names/positions of the bands.) Big props to both the audio and video teams!
Beck has the look of a man who's just began to regret taking that third ecstacy pill...
Pretty wired
AJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJA
It's the look of being a Scientology freakazoid.
Lmao!!!
I'm just glad the hat is gone!
It looks like there's somebody off camera pointing a gun at Beck, forcing him to perform.
Alec Baldwin?
It's like he's performing to save the planet in the get schwify episode of rick and morty and the pressure is getting to him.
Brilliant and Hilarious comment Bill
I think that’s just the 1000 yard acid stare of LSD
In the industry, they call that a record label
Why is Beck doing the Luigi Death Stare through the whole song lol
Bryce CW what do you mean?
ayy lmao
Because he don't have his hat on
hes been like that his whole life. Just has that "faded as fuck" look permanently on his face.
Scientology high
His eyes say "Nightmares" though
beflygelt dude that is the epitome of "winning at comments" 😂 almost spit my drink out!
LOL @ these comments.
HOW IS THIS NOT A TOP COMMENT?
Brilliant observation and comment..
beflygelt His eyes look CLEAR to me.
This is probably Beck's best album to date. The band is super TIGHT. The audio production is one of the best I've heard. Hats off.
It's a real joy to play with a drummer that solid, from a recovering bassist.
Beck looks so into this song, he doesn't care what he looks like! brilliant arrangement
Beck's band is super tight, really awesome.
Wow...great live performance. That drummer is the pocket.
Producer: Sir, how many guitar players do you want?
Beck: Yes.
Lmao
Man, I haven't seen giant pupils like that since I was into that kind of chemical romance a looong time ago. Brings back memories lol
He looks like he's seen things...
Chip Purr hahahaha
He's a Scientologist. He's definitely seen things
UPDATE 2yrs later.....seems hes left that cult
If you look closely, you can see the man off camera pointing a gun at Beck, forcing him to perform.
The man is an anigma.... He is seeing things alright... Some people call is chanaling 📞
Covered in hair
GenXer still has some slick moves in 2022. This is the best tempo for this track. Dreams and Colors are legend
The back-up singers featuring Beck perform Dreams ...
lol , right !

@@freshpack8928 the first time I listened to Get Real Paid, I didn't realize Beck was singing until the chorus.

Genius ! A talent like Beck doesn’t come around very often!
Masterpiece man… love this track
This song is pure genius
Beck is a genius even with facial expressions and the man is working!
The first eleven seconds are just so magical
Dammit Beck, just close your eyes. You're making me have, you're making me have nightmares.
Do you mean he's fucking with your dreams?
3:03
Aw man, I love how ROCKING this part is. I wish it was like this on the studio version.
there's something nice about this "slightly" faster version. great tune.
He just loves music plain and simple. It's the intensity of what he feels about the performance and I appreciate it!!
Beck is a one man wrecking machine... RESPECT.
I still remember driving around during the summer of 2015 and jamming to this song and 'Dead Inside' by MUSE, my local radio station would play them often and it was great, two amazing tunes!
This guy has talent in spades and his own sound. I love the lyrics too. Beck rocks!!!!
I'm simply blown away by the calm in his eyes. I can't tell if they are spinning clockwise, or counter, or one of each.
Beck looks like he really should be haunting a Victorian mirror
holy crap that guy on drums will never need an amp. geeez
Alan Malcheski I'm making this song in my singing monsters on composer island.
Also I'm a drummer and I can't seem to get this drum beat as fast ☹️
Drums aint difficult to play loudly, believe me. Back in my old band, the drums were louder than anything else we had setup, even huge amps for the guitar, bass, and vocals.
what
@@lucaswallo8127 what?
Beck has the "Omg.... I forgot to turn off the stove and my whole appartement is on fire" stare while he is performing. It creeps me out. 🙈🙈🙈🙈
Great performance. All the players were spot on. Alex Lilly's voice is beautiful.
Alex is a great mover too. I was transfixed by her grooving to the music.
love this! the drummer is incredible!
this live version is better than the album version to me IMO
sure
You can say whatever you want about his expression being a full commitment to the performance and deep concentration in the song but he's clearly high...
Beck is pure genius.
Great song, great performance.
I shall , " close my eyes and be gone.". I am 57 years old... reminds me of the good, old days when MTV played music videos!
Love this, after all theses years 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Excellent performance! Tight band!
Dude has a killer band!!!
Beck wanted to write something more upbeat for live performances and he absolutely smashed it 🥰
just so original this dude has been the man forever! im loving his latest stuff feel good musac!
Great sound mix for a live sessión. The band plays amazing as well.
Timeless artist
Beck performing Dreams live on DMT
I hear electric feel mgmt in this very heavy. They did a good job extending/ recreating that rhythm
This is amazing
there would never be such a complicated song!!awsome!!
no one:
absolutely no one:
beck:👁👄👁
Took me a while but this new album rules!!!
I agree, I loved all the singles but the others took a while to grow on me. Colors, Dear Life, and Wow are up there with his best
Wasn't a big fan at first, but it took me even longer lol. Been feeling the grooves on this lately!
I sincerely wonder what's going through Beck's mind during this. He looks like he's in serious pain or something.
The Breakfast Menu he regrets the plastic surgery for "a rooster neck"
Awesome drummer and Beck Jovi guitarist
I like how you can see the progression of that danelectro he’s playing.
First KCRW good audio mixing
They play brilliantly!!! ❤️
Great song great band. They keep themselves timeless. Keep it up guys.
The best music of all era's have been the influence of substance....!
Thats the way
Very cool song and the live is on point. I didn’t know beck could get down this funky lol
Magical sound
I look the same when I turn my headphones up full and listen to Beck restarting the songs and humming his extra cool songs. Cellphone's Dead is next...

This entire set was so good. It would be awesome to get a vinyl of this. I wonder how hard it would be for KCRW to do pressings of some of their content ?
Those are some crazy eyes
Plastic surgery
AMAZING song!
Outrageous, genius rock n soul. Almost excuses humanity's transgressions. Yes, I'm talking to you.You know what you did.
God i love Beck
Beck's thought bubble reads "damn that was a strong line"
The reason there are no shots of the bassist is that they are so awesome no human can behold them without going insane.
Que grande que es Beck
Lmao the comments on here bout Beck being on drugs during this music video are absolutely hilarious!
He's been jamming on that Danelectro for ages.
This one was pretty good!.
sounds great. that JAZZMASTER!! it's like WOW!!
REAL SOUNDS WOW 🤩
Other than the added sounds, yes haha
Tight
Needs more guitars. 4 ain't enough.
Space was limited.
4 guitars and nobody to play that little keyboard lead?
That’s exactly what I was thinking.
You want Minus The Bear for a 5 guitar band
I didn't see the bass either, even though it has a juicy riff.
I wish Beck was my dad. He seems like he'd teach me some funky guitar riffs and would be pretty chill in general. I think if I did something wrong he wouldn't get mad, he would get disappointed, which would be soul crushingly hurtful and I would never do it again.

"Come on Beck would it hurt you to smile ?"
"Yes"
Didn’t know Beck’s more badass and slightly strung out evil twin brother played lead guitar in his band. Or maybe Bon Jovi just did too much dope.
Patrick Carroll precisely
You're an idiot
that's what I kept thinking
is that Beck"s brother? and dude nailed it with the
did I leave the on look!!! lmao
Bon Jovi wishes he could get funky like Jason Falkner. Watch the last 45 seconds of this video...

Amazing!! Great performance!!
it's not. It's too fast.
Constant state of surprise on Beck's clock lately hope the fella is okay. What a talent this guy is!
Is that Chris Coleman on the drums? Love that guy.
A M A Z I N G !!!
🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
I love this man
Super eerie beginning
Beck never aged.
WOWWWWWWWWWWWW AMAZING!!! why am i surprised, seen him live in Ireland, HE IS OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!!
Finally see the bass player at the end of the vid
Finally @ 3:00, you got me - that's Beck.
it makes sense to me now. the alien spirit which inhabits Beck's body is the reason for all his whacky lyrics. thank you l. ron.
i never knew chris coleman was the drummer on this track!!
Great perfomance
Estupendo buen videos saludos desde Mexico 🇲🇽 👍🏼
I love this song good job beck
Why he is so awesome? Damn
Nice Fender Jaguars. Great sound, great song.
Man on drums as a security. Its scary.
Сева Керим no shit, his arms would give me a good pair of legs
xd
your comment just cracked me up lol
Awesome!!!

And a funky backbeat. Nice.
