Because at the time you don't think much of it. You either think the dude's lazy or a klutz thay doesn't know how to open the chat in another window or screen. Which was kind of what happened. Nobody thought much of it nor did anyone really suspect him during the time. It was out of place but considering even the investigators didn't think much of it, it wasn't concrete enough evidence. In hindsight it was the definitive detail they missed. This case was mostly solved due to a taxi driver and not because of this little detail anyone missed. Of course you suspect him now when you are quite literally watchinga video with the title "livestream killer".

Your brain is forced to think it's Natalie instead of notly because of the subtitles. Otherwise you wouldn't have heard of it. Believe me if it was this obvious, crime scene investigators would've kept him in custody for much longer. We are talking about individuals trained to look for the littlest bit of slip ups and details. The only real out of place things in the livestream are him mentioning its a chatless livestreams, which could've been brushed off as him being inexperienced. And the movie poster, which Stephen himself brushed off. And even then these two details wouldn't have been concrete enough evidence at the time.

Today was the *1* year anniversary of when "Uncovering the Livestream Killer" was uploaded! I didn't know about this guy until he killed his girlfriend and unborn child. It's crazy how he thought he was *so* clever that he left *clues* for what he was planning to do in his fake livestream! 😒
I wasn't expecting to see this here. I originally heard about this through the combat robotics (Battlebots/Robot Wars) part of the internet as the guy part of that community. Hearing all of the details behind it made me feel disgusted.
i think a majorly overlooked part of the story is that near the start of the livestream, stephen said he wouldn’t be able to see the live chat. this is something i always saw in pre-recordings of streams from people cheating in video games and stuff, its crazy that a murderer used that excuse as well.
i love how these videos give a sort of nostalgic vibe that remind be of a happier time even though the topic is often very dark normally im not into such dark stuff but this is great. idk how u do it but its great 👍

Today was the *1* year anniversary of when "Uncovering the Livestream Killer" was uploaded! I didn't know about this guy until he killed his girlfriend and unborn child. It's crazy how he thought he was *so* clever that he left *clues* for what he was planning to do in his fake livestream! 😒
I wasn't expecting to see this here. I originally heard about this through the combat robotics (Battlebots/Robot Wars) part of the internet as the guy part of that community. Hearing all of the details behind it made me feel disgusted.
i think a majorly overlooked part of the story is that near the start of the livestream, stephen said he wouldn’t be able to see the live chat. this is something i always saw in pre-recordings of streams from people cheating in video games and stuff, its crazy that a murderer used that excuse as well.
