The ever reliable Robert Smith comes to the rescue again to replace John McGeoch, who sadly was ousted due to alcoholism, and become a permanent Banshee. Smith had temporarily filled in for, the departed, original Banshees Guitarist John McKay in 1979 to fulfill tour obligations. Guitarist John McGeoch, ex Magazine, permanently replaced John McKay in 1980.
