      @@frederikboving are you available for remote lessons? FYI we're in Chicago USA

      @@RockAndRollKitchen I am definitely available. Mind you that I did the video a few years back, so I may be a bit rusty on the subject. The time difference is 7 hours, so 10 in the evening my time would be 3 in the afternoon your time; that is do-able. It is a bit embarrassing to say (as a photographer), but my PC has not camera attached so the zoom meeting or however we practically do it is a bit one-way until I get it fixed. Any suggestions for how to technically set up the remote session? And do you have a list of subjects you would like to go through so I can prepare?

    Great video...! The Sony looks easy, when you put the Iso up top, next to your thumb...! PS: is WB easy...?

      Hi Jakob, is your question if customizing a button for changing the white balance is easy? Or did I misunderstand?

      @@frederikboving Hello ...Yes, just asking...!
      I do not have a Sony, was just wondering,:
      How do you handle the WB om the Sony...?
      Do you set it as easy as your custom Iso...?
      New Years Greetings...!

    • @frederikboving
      @frederikboving  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jakob, yes it is as easy as the ISO. If you for example want to assign C3 to open the WB menu, then you do it exactly the same way as I show in the video for ISO. It is 3 steps down the same configuration menu, and there you can select the WB to be assigned to C3. When you then press C3 the WB menu appears and you can scroll your way through it! The engineers at Sony have been very generous with the WB options, so it is a long list to choose from :-D Happy new year!

    If you wanted to use the Aperture adjustment wheel if you're photographing space/deep sky, is there an adapter that you can use to "dummy" out the camera to think a lens connected is a type allowing you to manually set the aperture?

  • @buithaison7704
    @buithaison7704 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    btw when i change my shutter speed my aperture changes too please help me how to fix this ?!?

    • @frederikboving
      @frederikboving  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, sounds to me like you are not in manual mode, but maybe in one of the semi automatic ones? Check to see if the mode selector is firmly in positions so that the "m" is right next to the white dot. In manual mode the aperture and the shutter speed should be completely independent of each other. In shutter and aperture priority mode, it is likely that changing one of the two will affect the other.

      @@frederikboving is there a way to adjust iso faster than using the button ?
      using control wheel ?

    • @frederikboving
      @frederikboving  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The "problem" with the A7Rii is that there is no dedicated ISO button. So you can press the control wheel to the right of the LCD screen (where it says ISO) and that will open the ISO selector, and for there you can spin the control wheel and make your selection. You can also press the Fn button (sits right over the control wheel) and then move the cursor that appears (orange) to sit over the "ISO" menu item, press the center of the control wheel and make the selection from there. But I think it is the same menu that appears in all cases. So not really a fast way IMO unfortunately.

    No! What you see in the viewfinder won't be anything like what you see on the rear in this mode. This mode is not available in the viewfinder. If you can't get even this much right why should I watch your videos?

    • @frederikboving
      @frederikboving  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, It would be helpful if you told me how far into the video there is a problem, so that I can investigate and potentially fix the problem. My channel is for beginners to photography, so if you are a seasoned photographer I doubt that there is much news for you on my channel.
