    I remember my grandfather, who practiced TCM (traditional Chinese medicine), would sun dry corn silk ALL THE TIME.

    I have some silk in the freezer I use for tea, can I use that for a glycerin tincture?

      Fresh is best for nutrition... with previously frozen many of the delicate antioxidant properties can be destroyed, plus it's going to defrost more watery. I'm not sure how well that will work with a glycerite. You can try it, but my optimism is low. Keep me posted if you try it out.

    My corn froze while they were not fully developed. The silk is somewhat green. The corn and cob is a loss. Is the silk still safe to preserve and use?

      I'm not sure if freezing will turn it into mush? I've never froze it before, but it wouldn't hurt to give it a try with a test batch and see how it goes!
