For the Newbie if you are actually trading in the crypto space and you don't have a sound mentor. Then you are certainly going to get liquidated in 90% of your trades. Yeah that's sad truth. I remember when i just got into crypto back in 2019 but later in 2020 i ended up selling it because i have lost alot trading all by myself without a guide. I found the initial discussion very confusing, even after listening to it multiple times. It is unclear from the scale whether it is the number of trades in a row or the % drawdown/gain on the account balance to apply the % risk. Additionally, and I am not familiar with the Prop firm that Ethan uses, but don't you have to do a trade every day to qualify for a distribution? You can have a gain in your account and then just let it sit inactive for however long you want to make a withdrawal?

Prop firms will not tolerate a huge variance in lots or using more than 50% of your margin for one trade. So your dynamic risk management won't work. I received respective notices myself.

Additionally dynamic risk management is used for the challenge phase only, not the funded stage, which is why you diversify trades across your funded accounts and only withdraw 1-2% on funded accounts (very under the radar and conservative.)
