Currently playing Fireball. Noticed that you put your LS build on Mobalytics yesterday so I wanted to switch to that. After seeing this - well... Probably gonna stick to fireball. Already have gear :)
This is insane!!! You just saved me from a very short season (again). It's really all thanks to Witching Hour. i have been playing all day farming for gem frags/rot to create the gem and the instant i created and slotted it in i went from a 2 min Husk kill to a 0,1s delete (or rather, 2.5s since it still needs to enter stagger). Now to figure out how to perfect tune it. What does it scales better off? RN i'm betting just on vuln dmg/dmg to crowd controlled monsters
It's a little awkward without a couple of cooldown reduction affixes somewhere on your gear. I just flipped over to the build and ran T4 open world and 75 pits. It functions without Shako, just can't blow through content as fast because you are waiting on ice shield. (or the heck with waiting and just go for it anyway. There were a couple deaths along the way.) No Shako. No Ring of Starless Skies. Wore Helm of Perdition. Godslayer might be an interim choice, it has about 10% cooldown to help out.
I don’t think it will, if I understand correctly the damage loop is specifically the node that gives fireball 10% extra damage based on the amount of burning on the enemy. Then when fireball becomes an eldritch for a cast, it feeds more burning via decay witch power, then since the burning is higher the next fireball 10% is even bigger and it keeps feeding itself. I don’t think incinerate would work because the witching hour says something like “every 1 second your next cast counts as eldeitch” but incinerate is a channel? I dunno but I can’t wait to see what Lurkin cooks up!
tried s7, didn't like meta necro/druid gameplay and stopped playing.. but now sorc is back, i hope it didnt get nerfed/fixed soon, thx godfather sorc!!

it could, but youd have to hard cast it and it sounds clunky. it has a very long animation and its easier to just cast nova or familiar for 10 or 15% that contributes towards burning damage AND Fireball damage
I ran your incinerate leveler into Fireball (scored an amazing 3 GA staff and False Death on a TIER I Varshan run) and that's carried me into TIER IV. Can I swap to this build (skills/paragon) without a Shako and Starless yet, and farm with my current gear?
I wonder if you use the shatter key passive aspect and enlightenment as your board passive would increase your dmg power. That shatter key passive aspect help me last season with dmg barriers as Sorc.

Searing heat legendary node seems to be hard carrying Sorceress, I switched to it, and suddenly was doing billions XD. Seeing sorc doing trillions tho, that's new.
While I am really thankful for the video, I would have hoped that no one finds such a bug interaction this season :( I have the feeling that Sorc balance updates are mostly centered around bug shatter-pit-clears for a few seasons now... And ye I know that many other also found that build, so no critique towards you Lurkin :). Let's just hope we won't get hit by a massive nerf next season, since Sorc seems to be in a pretty OK spot right now.
yeah i've never played shatter or made a guide because i hate the gameplay, but this time the gameplay isn't cancer and if it gets patched the build still works
just tried this build on t4 or pit 65...i noticed i was able to clear trash easier and survived easily. but when it came to the boss , i coudlnt kill him. it seem'd the damage was missing. you mentioned the staggering dmg but the boss was not dieing.
Where do you get so much critical damage from? I'm using your build, most of the stats on my gear are the same, but my critical damage is 280%, and my max damage is 100 million at Paragon 180.
@danieljohnson2117 it's not functional, if you take it off you won't be able to put it back on until blizzard re enables it. Though there's no reason to not remove it if you plan on playing that character as the augment is deactivated and doing nothing.
You can use the rune words for that, he just uses crit since he's not using heir. It's probably a better idea to just have them on runes rather than the skill bar so you can add conjuration like ice blades or familiar
Why are different damage sources stacking considered bugs? Do we have confirmation from blizzard that these are bugs? I mean it seems like all streamers say the same thing without offering sources for what they're saying, so am just wondering
Mekuna usus fireball as enchantment, and you ice shards,. Whats the best? :O Its quite a grindy long farm to get the withcing hour legendary/brown witch gem. Only thing iam missing now, and all the ubers. Doesent really come online until all of the gems and withc powers are there.

Nerfed the sorcs and spiritborn again. Are they going to nerf the barb and necro too? Seems ridic that only necro and barb classes should be able to deal huge amounts of damage.
It's not really a nerf though, it was clearly never intended to work this way. It's the same as the evade bug or the other bugged SB spec last season. Sorc needs a buff, they need to really go back to the drawing board and fix the class, but this isn't it. No class should have this kind of power. And that isn't to say I believe Necro is fine either - it isn't, but the difference is that they meant for it to be that way. Next season, they will be fixed and another class will surely ascend.
After playing fireball for awhile.. you need open areas like this for max dmg. When you're in confined corridors, not so good. Which is most of the dungeons btw

@mja8433 Touch some grass, it’s a a multiplayer effect that isn’t capped. It’s not bugged. The tool tip literally states that it deals x damage that was dealt to the enemy when frozen. That is then just massively scaled…chill dude
It's unfortunate, but that's how it is. With a game like D4, looking extra deep into all the details of everything is what takes you to that extreme level of op. Everyone that isn't necro or druid is doing it, and it sucks that they have to, but don't hate. It'll get patched eventually anyways
All my respect to sorc players who didn't abandon the class to play druid or necro.

im not totally sure. vuln damage forsure as it affects shatter. this will probably get fixed in a week

Shako has his +4 ranks. with godslayer I could master work GA cooldown to 17%

you need the witch powers/gems 100% - mainly decay, witching hour gem/purging touch

Builds dead, they removed the witch power that makes it work within a day, sorc is not allowed to ever have fun.
