I've even started looking into the Clair Obscur art as well because I've always loved it but never new the name for it. Art Deco has and is one of my favorite art styles. I can't wait.
Love me a turn based RPG, and the world here looks really interesting. Plus, Jennifer English being sassy and mysterious is always welcome. Definitely keeping an eye on this one.

Yakuza 7 and 8 are both realistic turn based game with various button prompts to strengthen your attacks along with blocking on coming attacks XD So excited for this game but I don't understand when people say "it's the first realistic turn based real time button game" like that's just a lie
Only slightly open world part about FFX was the Calm Lands, and it is my favorite RPG of all time. Linearity rocks if everything on the linear path is A+ content.

I'm always down for some turn-based combat. Some of the free-roam animations still look a bit clunky but there is still plenty of time to polish things for release. Will keep an eye out for this one!
I'm really liking this as someone who likes turn based games but don't have the time for it. I really hope they can make the entering/exiting combat seamless. Waiting for the battle to load or end is a lot of time wasted for the player.
My head can't get past the movement physics. They're underwater, but the characters are very clearly moving like they're in air? Just their normal walking around... everything about it is wrong for being underwater?
I'm assuming some surreal altered-reality physics. There's clearly water *above* them, but they're just as clearly traveling through a seemingly impossible air pocket of some kind. It just makes me more curious to find out what's going on - and why.

Am I the only one who feels like the camera is way too close to the character's back?? I've never been a fan of shoulder-chasing camera placement in games. It takes away my sense of connection to the environment and every level feels the same to walk through.

open world directly conflicts the mechanics of turn based rpgs. It ruins their difficulty scaling and balance

Very curious for this one after I finished and loved Sea of Stars. Hope for a more relaxed difficulty setting as well.

Walking animations look very cheap
lol they look really good for a game that is still a ways out. And I don’t really care how my character walks lol
