    Enjoy your how to video’s. I used to write service bulletins for Kawasaki before there was TH-cam.

    Is this rack compatible with the oem rear crash bars? sw customer service said no, but saw photos in the product review that seem to say yes.

    Nice choice with the blue. Any chance of finding the right size washers in black as well? This clip is Designer approved. 🛵❤️🤖

      Sure you can find them. Maybe McMaster Carr?

      Paint them satin black. Easy as pie.

      Raizzarhey12 Watanabe I got my first 2007 GTS 250 which is basically the same three years ago to be fair I was going to strip it for the piaggio engine and rolling stock for a conversion but it’s mint with only 5k and would of been criminal to dissemble
      There is absolutely nothing wrong with them apart from the fuel cap but if you carry a small funnel then no drama.
      Bit like the VW T5 there’s no need to change something that isn’t broke
      I’m a lambretta man but nothing touches these modern autos, great brakes, liquid cooled with fuel injection.
      Aesthetically I adore the Scomadi and I’ve been tempted to chop it in for one a few times but I know the GTS is far better

    Just a quick question, will it fit if we have original Vespa crash bar already mounted? Thanks in advance for your answer.

    I've noticed your bikes all seem to have a metal plate with some sort of info on it riveted into the leg well area. Is that a legal requirement in the US? I'd be pretty upset to have to put that on my Vespa. What's on the plate?

    • @VespaMotorsport
      @VespaMotorsport  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep, that's found on US market Vespas. It has the scooter VIN number and manufacturing info, for legal purposes.

      @@VespaMotorsport I thought so. Here in Oz, they put some smaller plates on the inside frame just near the seat storage area

    It looks like someone sat too far back on the scooter and bent the rack.

    • @drazenbabich
      @drazenbabich 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, there's bit of that too.

    One of those 'form over function' accessories, pretty useless in real terms. It does look cool though, so it's a plus in appearance category. It fits nicely curvature of the single-person sports seat as found on '6 giorni' but if you have a GTS 'super' or 'super sport' with standard two-person seat you're better off with the original grab rail as they complement each other much better, IMO.

    • @superdauxanh

      It really depends. For me myself living in Vietnam where everybody rides motorbike. The extra curve make it easier for me to take my scooter out of tight spot like a parking lot packed with other scooters as I use it to lift the rear end of the scooter. Also,I sometimes pack my stuff on the curve.
      You might say the rear rack would be better for those purposes. Its true but after using it for awhile. I find it not really handy for the passengers to get on the scooter.

      @@superdauxanh I can assure you the 'rest' of us do not lift the backs of our 150kg GTS to make way from tight parking spots :-).
      As for the practicality of load carrying I could think of maybe only one case when I roll up my beach towel when heading down to my swimming spot or a smaller picnic rug for a family outing, but that's pretty much it.
      What I heard about this 'rack' is that it came about after a group of Euro scooter enthusiast collaboratively suggested to Piaggio design team to give them an option for pimping the overal sports look on their GTSes. It ended up being a result of a collab engagement.
      It's still just for the looks and appearance, any way you look at it. Happy it actually provides an extra function to you and my Vespa brothers and sisters in the SE Asia.
      Cheers.
