That would be all of them, because we see sims be vivacious and interactive on EA's B-rolls, but in the actual game sims play games or troll on the computer like basement dwellers. You throw a party and it's not lively.
See this is the thing, some packs aren’t even that bad, it’s just that their so buggy and annoying their almost unplayable. That and the fact that you could buy a private island, 2 private jets, and 36 sports car with the price of an expansion pack😂
Actually you could buy nice used car for full cost of EVERY the Sims 4 pack. Imagine driving around in the money or having game on your laptop that is more EXPENSIVE than the laptop itself LMAO
What I am hearing is... notifications are annoying and we SHOULD be able to turn off whatever notifications we don't care about in our gameplay, I agree. I do not like them being totally pack restricted tho. I like the City living notifications in some worlds. Like my Willow Creek Sims heading to a City Festival makes sense. Also my college Sims going to a festival date/trip. Totally makes sense. But I feel like my Cottage Living Sims really don't care about anything outside their little town. What we just need is a notification filter so we, as players, can decide which notifications we care about in our storytelling. I like the hidden aliens, tbh. Its fun to be surprised I married an occult. (Mermaid or Alien, I don't have the other occults.)
Yes, the festivals are my favorite thing about Sims 4, plus I hate the noise in apartments and won't live in San Myshuno. As for Cottage Living notifications, I've been to so-called contests and I'm the only sim there.
I like the hidden aliens too - I agree that it’s a lot of fun to find out you’re dating an alien (and can add a bit of much needed storyline drama too), but I also appreciate it having to be constantly seeing immersion breaking aliens every time I go to a public lot (in case I’m playing a game where I don’t want aliens involved😅).
I remember making an abandoned Fazbear's Fright place once, and it was run-down,filthy and had a murderous animatronic bunny Sim running around in it...and Judith Ward showed up and went right inside of Fazbear's Fright! My Springtrap sim tred to kill her,but she simply left before he could feed her pufferfish.
Also annoying- the constant calls to go to festivals and pre-prom parties. When you go on vacation to an older lot and stay in the pre-made rental lots there are no toddler beds, toddler potties, etc. So now you're on a family vacation which you have to cancel so your toddler won't get taken away. Same thing with the pets - no kitty litter boxes, food dispensers etc. Why can't we board pets??
@@weebe_evee_geebe7027 there actually is a portable crib and you could put a toddler useable sleeping bad in your inventory as well as a few pet items but after not being able to feed my dog on vacay I always prepare for vacation by checking the rental first that its suitable for the Sim(s) I’m taking on vacay. TBH this is kinda the point of the whole game being changeable. Don’t like the bar EA made, go to build mode and edit it, before vacation in the case of vacay houses I always check the rental.
seasons is SO annoying omg 😭 gardening is almost impossible, sims complain about the weather all the time and i can't do anything outdoors because of the random storms
The weather complaining is rather realistic. The weather in my area is pretty unpredictable. The biggest storms are those that don't appear on the forcast.
If any game has broken seasons, it's the Sims 3. The weather forecast is always wrong as hell. It says it's gonna snow tomorrow. and then it's 70 degrees the next day.
Ok, I have to add to the "annoying" about aliens. When I play aliens I have them walking around as an alien, not "in disguise", yet things come up with people mad because they "discovered" they're an alien. Uh, they obviously LOOK like an alien, its not hidden. Even after they get married a thing comes up that their spouse just found out and is mad about it, HELLO never hid it, purple skin at the wedding thank you very much.
I got growing together for the gameplay of bonus traits 💀💀. I agree with most everything on this list except parenthood, growing together and seasons. Love blonde on u satch 👱♀️💇
"After Snowy Escape every single townie will have Japanese names" It's a bug that weighs townies more heavily in favor of Komorabi and San Myshuno. Townies have "home region" tags when they're generated and as Townies are allowed to go anywhere you end up with them everywhere because they have a higher ratio compared to Townies from, say, Henford-on-Bagley. "Home Regions" by Kuttoe addresses this and you can manage Townie generation/home regions with it. For me it does Sulani, Komorabi and San Myshuno and I end up with any of those three regions populating the other places. At least Home Regions lets you rebalance it and prevent Townies from appearing outside of their own region if you want to see the default townies out and about more often.
The neighbourhood brawl of Eco Lifestyle is definitely in the poo category. I hate that everyone stops what they're doing to have a look. Its impossible to finish your tasks.
Honestly pets has to be the most annoying pack I have ever played, my INDEPENDENT cat will run away if I don’t interact with them for two hours daily. Like for god sake if my cat was clingy that’d be understandable but my *OUTDOOR* cat is just an indoor cat that goes on walks. Not being able to see your pets actual needs also makes it insufferable,
also. until they patched it in, you couldn't see their Age either, so players could be notified of their pet's life coming to a natural end. which unless they were expecting it. could shock people.
The Snowy Escape notifications, by default, should only appear if your Sim actually reside there. Same for the Cottage Living fair notifications. If you have Dine Out, then, you absolutely need to have the Dine Out Reloaded mod. Sorry console players. Vampires... With seasons set to 28 days, I once had a thunder storm start in the 6th day of spring and continue non-stop until the 10th day of Winter... The seasonality of plants should depend on the climate of the world. When attending university, DO NOT EVER live on campus ! Tried Laundry Day... I can’t agree on you with Island living-and again, it’s the fault of the festivals! I don’t care about the notifications from city /cottage living, but I prefer to have them than not for those times when I AM playing with them. Snowy escape is a bit better about it since iirc they don’t send notifications just have it on the calendar. But island living? Nothing. Radio silence. Literally the only way to know if something is going on in Sulani is if you live in that specific neighborhood and it was soooo frustrating when I was playing in the other neighborhoods away from the town area. Like come on, I shouldn’t have to look up the festival schedule on the internet to participate in them, put them in the calendar since it’s basegame now. Idk if it’s a patch issue or what but island living enjoyers NEED this
I LOVE your explanation of Sims 4 University! Rushing around, but not enjoying any of the experiences or having time to do anything outside of striving for an A mark. With Sims 2 and Sims 3 University you could still achieve A marks and enjoy the rest of the games' features (I remember); but with Sims 4, you are so busy completing things to get A marks that you cannot do anything else that comes with going to the universities.
Hear me out. I THINK that the reason Satch finds milestones so annoying is that he’s not a parent. Like, I totally agree that the notifications can be annoying, especially if you have a bunch of different kids, but as a mom, I do enjoy the milestones because every time a kid reaches a milestone, it makes me think of when my kids hit theirs, and that gives me warm fuzzies. 🥰 It sounds so trivial before you have kids, but when you do, those “annoying” milestones to everyone else (understandable!) are actually quite special. ❤️ Just my opinion! That said, I do agree that there are too many of them. 😂 Like, I don’t need a “reach” milestone. First smile, first giggle, sitting up on their own, those are all great, but I do feel like EA went a little overboard. I would definitely put the pack in the iPhone user category, but I don’t think it’s TERRIBLE. Just my opinion. 😊
I agree on overboard. I mean 'first blowout' for example is funny like once. I think that's the flaw of a lot of packs. It's a lot of things that are one-off fun or sound funny on paper but after about 2-3 times, it's annoying. Like Prom every week in HSY, I know why they did it cause Sims lifespans are variable so this accounts for no one missing it. But as a long-lifespan family player it feels weird to have my teens obsessing over prom and exams every week in their lives (yes I have a mod to fix this but in the unmodded game, it's all the time!!).
@@LizzyTiger98 But skipping prom like ‘missing holidays’ can sometimes trigger undesirable moods even if you “agree to skip prom’. That’s what I like about the mod, it just doesn’t exist anymore til I want it back.
The neighborhood action plans are the bain of my being omfg. And yes WHYYYYY is university so impossible?! My sims dont have time for anything omg, theyre just stressed and running around and getting no sleep because the dorm beds are ass and they constantly have to study
“And Vlad is annoying cause he constantly shows up on your doorstep and bites your sim” (paraphrasing because I’m too lazy to find the exact quote 😅) - in all the games I’ve played (and for quite awhile Vampires was the only dlc I owned), Vlad has shown up on my doorstep exactly three times! And he only got inside once, but that was because I had my sim invite him in since I was bored (nothing interesting happened: they talked and then Vlad took the trash out). Caleb and Lilith have shown up about five times each, and Lilith is the only one who actually bit my sim (but that was during a stay over so maybe it doesn’t count?). Of course, I also get the Welcome Wagon only about every tenth game that I start. Maybe the townies in my game are all as introverted as me! 😂
Honestly the gameplay in the newer packs are soo lackluster, like if you compare it to older packs like get famous, seasons, city living etc you really start to see it. Like the newer ones just add one gameplay mechanic with some extras and while the older ones have at least 3. Also, What happened to Careers, I feel like we haven't got any in a long time
I am annoyed with the milestones. I like them, because they remind me of the Sims 2 memory system, but they are so buggy I just gave up. My Sim got a degree and did not have a miletone of that event because, for some reason, the system failed at that exact moment. And it is not easy to cheat your way into milestones, especially without mods, so he worked his a*s off and didn't even have a milestone of that event.
Omg! Yes about university! So many ppl love how hard it is. I wish the Sims 4 were harder, but university is one of the few packs with lots of cool gameplay and I can never do anything other than school unless I turn aging off and only take one or two classes a semester
The thing that irritates me about parenthood is that no matter how many times you discipline kids and toddlers for things like making a mess, they never learn. The other thing about parenthood that drives me nuts is the phases. I've had sims age up with phases that they shouldn't have. Like picky eater KILLS ME. I hate it so much, and teens should not be picky eaters, and especially not young adults. I am glad I have it, but there are quite a few features I could do without.
@@josipmiloloza2286 🤣🤣🤣🤣 same thing for sure! Don’t get your feelings hurt over a MILD comment on a literal billionaire…she’s not going to see your comment
That second category. 😆 In Finland (and apparently Estonia), it's very common to have hand-held bidet showers in the toilets of homes and hotels etc. Yet, I still find that issue... 😅
8:35 complaining about the rain in Tartosa shows how little time you've spent in Italy 😅 it rains a loooot, even in summer, I was there once in August and was caught in heavy rain wearing a dress and sandals 😂
Werewolves goes into Taylor Swift tier because I'll randomly get enraged werewolves show up on community lots scarring all the sims and ruining my gameplay...they are also forever in werewolf form so I have to use MCC to see what they actually look like
Everything that they give us seems like the framework ( albeit broken framework ) and dressings for everything, without the actual substance. It truly is, as you've put it before, a dollhouse simulator. The characters have as much personality as we the player give them, until of course the bugs start popping up and they're spouting reactions from traits they do not have. Having self-contained worlds does seem like an improvement. Seems like that could stand to at least somewhat clear up the data clutter going on in the overall game, as well as motivate people to use items and skills, etc. given to us in packs in those particular worlds for a purpose. Strangerville being a finely-executed example. There are definitely a lot of gaps to fill in, too. However they spent so much time trying to make everything beautiful they forgot to check beneath the surface as much as they needed to, and they didn't realize they would just have to deconstruct that beauty for most users anyway, when we're constantly interrupted by graphic adjustments.
You just listed all of the reasons why I still haven't bought Seasons. I refuse all of those annoying things and peacefully exist in endless summer lol edit: same with eco living. really like the build mode, but all of the problems puts me off purchasing it
It's outrageous that you put Seasons as the most annoying. It's literally the best, most impactful pack on The Sims 🤧 And yeah, there's nothing more annoying than swifties, not even Taylor Swift herself
I once opened a restaurant and my waiters were townies from Strangerville. 😂 I forgot their names and I didn't understand at first what happened to my staff... I recommend it for those who want chaos. P.S. In the menu, you can choose Batuu food)))
Honestly the biggest sim gameplay issue I have (thats not avoidable like dining not working) is the snow piles from Seasons in winter. Why is "shovel random pile of snow half way across the neighbourhood" such a high priority action? Literally the whole winter season is spent trying to wrestle sims back into the house to finish eating the food they made before they starve to death because theyre completely consumed by the need to shovel snow
Seasons is THE WORST. Holidays are too frequent and repetitive. The rain breaks electronics. The season changes make gardening so much harder (my biggest gripe with the pack). So many people like the pack, but honestly I regret buying it.
If you have, for example, an outdoor radio uncovered in your backyard and it starts raining...let's just say you'll increase your sim's mechanical skill a bit faster 😅
6:23 I actually hate to deal with „fake aliens“ not fake humans because I download some cute aliens from the gallery and then sims just spawns them as maids and townies with blue/green skin AND THEY ARE NOT EVEN ALIENS
Notifications in S4 should just be a pulsing dot in the top right. I don't like that every time I get one, It's a dropdown that takes forever to go away.
I was going to argue that some of the features you complained about aren't that bad, but then I remembered that they don't suck in my game because of the many, many mods I've added 😅
Pets is pretty annoying and I would put it in either tier 3 or 2 because of all the sick, stinky animals walking around in the world that you can't fix cus they're not in your household. Also that your own pets get sick way too often. Also that the neutering/spaying machine is buggy af.
Inuse the clubs for family friends generations... my teens and kids have clubs and it works well. I really hate the clubs they have😅. Also... nailed it on this list. I ❤ the weather... but I agree on the plants.... I ❤ the storms and it adds fun levels. I play for generations.... helps. Uni is THE WORST PACK. Like... I loved the drama of the social systems in sims 3. I prefer sims 2 on this one. It sucks... and I happily uninstalled it. For rent... grandma comes over for a holiday then the next day goes on strike🤣🤣🤣🤣 My washing machines light up on fire A LOT. I'll say without mods.... I'd NEVER PLAY SIMS 4.
In my opinion, University belongs to the Taylor Swift category. I played it once and it felt like a torture.🙂↕️To me it’s the most annoying expansion pack of all.
I have to disagree about Eco Living, there is a control for townies to not vote autonomously which makes it a feature that you can just forget about, and you can turn the NAP system off
Personally, seasons is the most annoying to me not because of the weather, but because of the several holidays and events. Because most often I ignore them, and if I don't fulfill them or end them early, my sims get a sad debuff >:c
I agree. But for me it's not that just because they are buggy and does not work as intentional. It's the fact that even if these packs were release bug free, they are still very shallow. Like the "amount" of gameplay in it is laughable. MWS for example, let's say that pack was released without any bugs, what exactly did it add in your game? NOTHING. Why was dating not part of that pack? It was suppose to enhance weddings in the game, but it did not do that. Everything on the pack you could do in the base game. Weddings in the game still feels fake. DHD is another very good example as well, it did not anything to expand decorating in the game. What your sims/clients like or dislike did not matter. You can literally put shit/poop while doing the active career, and because it's within budget, your sims/clients will have the same 50/50 chance of liking it, the same as you would if you really put an effort of really making sure that they get what they like. It's not the bugs that annoying me, it's the shallow gameplay. The bugs and glitches just adds to the annoyance, because when there is no gameplay, they could have at least make it bug-free. Just laziness at it's best. But yes, I don't think the idea of these packs are not bad, I really don't care if they spilt packs in TS4. But for the love of god, pack them worth it.
Taking 4 classes in the uni pack has you stressed to get everything done and they barely get a social life. But if you do 2 credits it takes too long to get a degree
The only pack that really annoys me is eco-lifestyle. Cause if I dont pay attention to the voting, the sims will vote in a stupid law like conservation where there wont be electricity or water for one day a week or having to pay higher bills. Although it can spice up gameplay like if roughhousing is voted in it can cause drama. My sim was dating Joaquin Le Chien he asked her if him and his roommmate could stay over for a few days so I said yes. Well both him and his roommate were fighting a lot which created awkward situations. But then Joaquin got in a fight with Penny Pizazz who was my sims good friend and neighborhood so she dumped his ass and kicked him out. She then had a one night stand with another sim cause she wanted to forget Joaquin and she got knocked up. Now she has a baby, and she doesnt know how to tell the baby daddy she wants to break up cause they have bad compatibility lol... So yeah packs can have annoying features but I also dont think it should work perfectly how you want it to all the time cause it can make your sim's story more interesting. My most fun times playing sims werent planned and I had some unexpected things happen.
I’ve never had a vampire come to any of my houses I don’t lock my doors either, kind of wish it would happen at least once lol maybe a glitch. Yes, I have the pack installed.
I went to a restaurant and there were zero employees working there. Was it because i have to get a sim to buy it and hire employees or does that happen automatically?
Ouuuu you should rank packs based on their expectation vs reality😅
YES
All of them in the gutter then LMAO
That would be all of them, because we see sims be vivacious and interactive on EA's B-rolls, but in the actual game sims play games or troll on the computer like basement dwellers. You throw a party and it's not lively.

@@TheDawnofVanlife i always play with ageing off so sometimes i just skip prom lol
The way I have snow permanently off in my game and always live in Oasis Springs where it hardly rains because seasons is so annoying 😂
As a Swift hater, this was hilarious lol
Also, What happened to Careers, I feel like we haven't got any in a long time
Whenever I see your new videos, I have an urge to play Sims 4 again 😂
Thank you!! I have canceled so many vacations because I forget to put that stuff in my inventory
Rank the packs based on how long you played with each one. We need to see the receipts, Satch
I am not a Swiftie at all. I used to like her, but she got so annoying! The last decent song she did was "Love Story".
Same…her perpetual childishness is so annoying. Like, ma’am, you’re 34 not 14
@@tiffanygilbert8188and ur playing the sims girl..
I have a mod that stops all those notifications about festivals and social bunny because I was literally going crazy!!
You can deactivate social bunny on the app in sims phones. Though once, my horse got a notification for social bunny and i play sims 4 on my xbox lol
8:35 complaining about the rain in Tartosa shows how little time you've spent in Italy 😅 it rains a loooot, even in summer, I was there once in August and was caught in heavy rain wearing a dress and sandals 😂
Werewolves goes into Taylor Swift tier because I'll randomly get enraged werewolves show up on community lots scarring all the sims and ruining my gameplay...they are also forever in werewolf form so I have to use MCC to see what they actually look like
I don't have the pack, but... I think there's a setting in the game options to restrict werewolves to Moonwood Mill.
@@DakalaShade there is a setting
I refuse all of those annoying things and peacefully exist in endless summer lol
edit: same with eco living. really like the build mode, but all of the problems puts me off purchasing it
i don't even have snowy escape and all my random townies have japanese names anyway 🤷♂
It's outrageous that you put Seasons as the most annoying. It's literally the best, most impactful pack on The Sims 🤧
And yeah, there's nothing more annoying than swifties, not even Taylor Swift herself
The tier headings please😭🤣🤣🙌
I once opened a restaurant and my waiters were townies from Strangerville. 😂 I forgot their names and I didn't understand at first what happened to my staff... I recommend it for those who want chaos. P.S. In the menu, you can choose Batuu food)))
PLSS THE TIMESTAMPS ARE HILARIOUS 😭😭 "forrant"
Agree with most but I prefer that the aliens are hidden as normal sims
I never noticed getting a notification to go to the Star Wars world. It is just there if you want to do it, kind of like Strangerville.
So many people like the pack, but honestly I regret buying it.
rain breaks electronics? it didn't happened to me until now O.o
If you have, for example, an outdoor radio uncovered in your backyard and it starts raining...let's just say you'll increase your sim's mechanical skill a bit faster 😅
You can change the holidays so they’re not repetitive.
Seasons was a good Idea, but the Execution was the issue, if the entire GAME Was delayed until 2016. it probably would have been better
I’m having a glitch in my game where it won’t stop storming 😭 and then my sims get stuck by lightning like come on 💀
As a Swiftie, I’m so sad… Still love you though, Satch
Same here we got roasted out of nowhere 😂 but I’ll still watch him because I love to hear Karensatch ranting lol
Omg the thrifttea notification I cannot
6:23 I actually hate to deal with „fake aliens“ not fake humans because I download some cute aliens from the gallery and then sims just spawns them as maids and townies with blue/green skin AND THEY ARE NOT EVEN ALIENS
The Cats & Dogs though are annoying when you get like 16 pop-ups of houses adopting them spontaneously
Notifications in S4 should just be a pulsing dot in the top right. I don't like that every time I get one, It's a dropdown that takes forever to go away.
YES THE TAYLOR SWIFT THING, I LIKE HER MUSIC BUT PEOPLE WHO TALK ABOUT HER 24/7 DRIVE ME MAD!
I was going to argue that some of the features you complained about aren't that bad, but then I remembered that they don't suck in my game because of the many, many mods I've added 😅
I'm a swiftie but fair enough😂😂😂
I've seen jenn (TH-camr) get mold in her game without cheats 🤷🏾♀️ the house has to be REALLY dirty... Like I mean DISGUSTING for a LOOONG time
It's so weird cos all I need is ONE puddle and mould starts spreading everywhere 😅
Satch you are looking so handsome (as usual) but the blonde really looks wonderful on you! Love your vids as always ❤❤❤❤
The tier names gave me new life 🤣
Have you thought of doing livestreams for example when building?
Pets is pretty annoying and I would put it in either tier 3 or 2 because of all the sick, stinky animals walking around in the world that you can't fix cus they're not in your household. Also that your own pets get sick way too often. Also that the neutering/spaying machine is buggy af.
Insane how almost every pack just brings so many pains into the game lmaooo
Oh, you’re looking good today Satch!
For rent... grandma comes over for a holiday then the next day goes on strike🤣🤣🤣🤣
My washing machines light up on fire A LOT.
You can delete/change the holidays in the calendar.
And we all keep these packs only for the clothing.
Thank you for speaking the truth
I think that cats and dogs is only annoying when townie households adopt 20029292928 cats and dogs if you forget to turn off neighborhood stories.
1:43 i thought i was alone with this issue😕
Taking 4 classes in the uni pack has you stressed to get everything done and they barely get a social life. But if you do 2 credits it takes too long to get a degree
The bidet part 😂
I had an annoying ts fan coworker at lunch and she was so annoying when the new album came out
The only pack that really annoys me is eco-lifestyle.
I just delete all vampires and I honestly never saw new ones again after Vlad was gone. 😅
How is #Womanplaining worse then butt wounds that makes it hard to sit😓🙄
12:49 lmaoooo I can't 😅😂
I’ve never had a vampire come to any of my houses I don’t lock my doors either, kind of wish it would happen at least once lol maybe a glitch. Yes, I have the pack installed.
Same, same. Sometimes he calls or knocks but never enters to bite
I turn off so many of these - I mainly get them for CAS and build items.
You sound exactly like this tattoo TH-camr called Roly it's crazy
The shade 😂
Laundry Stuff and Nifty are both stuff packs but can be annoying.
Grumpy Grandpa here. Did you know playing offline. Your Crock-Pot. Start stinking for no reason at all.🤔
Get famous is the funniest annoying tbh because I swear it completely messes up 2/3rds of all sims lets plays I see on this entire platform
I went to a restaurant and there were zero employees working there. Was it because i have to get a sim to buy it and hire employees or does that happen automatically?
the seasons rant was the most British thing I've ever heard, we can't stand weather irl let alone in game 😭
