Hey Josh, great videos as always! I might be undergoing a similar repair soon. Is it possible to replace these hoses without having to drop the sub-frame?
Yup the clips on the rack itself can sometimes be facing a bad direction. I did it with the subframe installed here, I just had the spare rack on my bench to steal the lines from
@@JoshsJettas i kept addin atf for about 2 weeks and the car wanted to burn itself down because all the oil everywhere, so i decided its time to fix it lol
With as much salt that they like to throw down up there wouldn't it be highly beneficial to cover the lines in a protective coating? Damn I'm glad my mk IV is a desert rat from Las Vegas and I brought her here to freedom loving Florida!

That’s a score, complete racks aren’t cheap so if it only needs these lines that’s awesome.
you can get mint lines with clips and that unique screw and the power steering hoses as many are obsolete on Kijiji or the vwvortex cheap

Yes a underoiling would be ideal, loctite has a yellow coating that dries that i like to use, fluid film would be great as well.
