M sorry but that’s the only option. You may recover your data if you format your drive. But that doesn’t work all the time so it’s a risk I suggest you to copy the data of your hard disk into someone else system and than proceed with the steps. After that you can copy back your data

You can plug your hard disk in someone else computer using cable and than copy the data.
