Eden Hazard was an early prodigy, he broke into the French ligue and won YPOY or POY every year he played while KDB was still finding his footing. Revisionist history regarding the World Cup (Silver Ball) and even 2016 Euros is just shameful and possibly agenda based. KDB grew into his game and is a top player and it is mostly definitely his league and has been for at least 5 years.
5 years is over the top. It's been his league since Hazard left Chelsea but 2018 and 2019 Hazard was still best and I'd say only VVD could chat to him then. In regards to the youngsters segment, I think Musiala might finally be reaching the point of development that we've all wanted him to get to. Case in point being Bayern's game against Hoffenheim. Completely dominated the game in every aspect and scored the first 2 goals - 1 being an amazing finish and the other being a great dribble with an efficient pass to set himself up on the return ball. That, combined with his insane X-factor of being the best dribbler on the planet, makes him the best young midfielder. Although, Bellingham has had the superior season thus far.

However, Gabriel crumbles when it matters most. When Saliba was out last season, he did not pick up the slack, which contributed to Arsenal not winning the league like they should have. As for Micky Van de Ven, I have been very impressed with the job he has done so far for Spurs, in the amount of games he's played so far. He's a fast center back, who can facilitate the ball well, is a pretty solid defender, and can be can offensive threat when need be. The only knock on him is his sample size. VDV was doing very well in the Bundesliga for Wolfsburg, beforehand. But nobody was talking about him yet, at that time. But I wouldn't say that it is a "no contest," or that Van de Ven blows him out of the water. It's about current form, yes, however; it's also about preference in terms of ability.

@@maxymax32 Gabriel has never thoroughly impressed me as a center back. Defensively I can't knock Gabriel because he is a big dude who can put a body on someone to dispossess them of the ball. However, Gabriel crumbles when it matters most. When Saliba was out last season, he did not pick up the slack, which contributed to Arsenal not winning the league like they should have.
As for Micky Van de Ven, I have been very impressed with the job he has done so far for Spurs, in the amount of games he's played so far. He's a fast center back, who can facilitate the ball well, is a pretty solid defender, and can be can offensive threat when need be. The only knock on him is his sample size. VDV was doing very well in the Bundesliga for Wolfsburg, beforehand. But nobody was talking about him yet, at that time.
But I wouldn't say that it is a "no contest," or that Van de Ven blows him out of the water. It's about current form, yes, however; it's also about preference in terms of ability.

A LOT of jibberish regarding Hazard vs KDB. First: KDB has had a better Belgium career than Hazard. KDB is the reason they even played semi finals 2018 due to hos goal against Brazil. Check out the stats aswell. KDB is miles better for Belgium in about 30 lesser games aswell. And second: Kompany has never said Hazard is better. That is false. He said ”give Hazard chaos and he is the best, and give KDB a plan and structure and he is the best”.
KDB has a greater legacy than Hazard. Hazard was regardless a very good player!
The day you stop looking at the stats, including goals or assists, you might actually start appreciating how good Hazard actually was because this is the only player I’ve ever seen in my life besides Messi that can singlehandedly carry a team throughout a whole season(on multiple, multiple occasions), without even scoring or assisting. No wonder that since he started playing, the only players with more MOTM awards than Hazard have been Messi and Ronaldo. If this doesn’t speak volumes I don’t know what will. I love De Bruyne, right now he is my favourite player to watch, but Hazard was something else, the ones who truly watched both week in week out will know why Abz chose Eden over De Bruyne.
Plus Hazard for Belgium has definitely been better, again, same reason, don’t look at stats, look at how he influences the game and appreciate his greatness.
