Mr.Puzzle I can’t speak for everyone that watched, but you don’t need to apologize, I loved watching you solve this puzzle and it wasn’t a waste of time. I look forward to watching your next video. ❤️
I was truly amazed how simple it really was and not a second of time was wasted watching. have no idea why you popped up on my recommendation. I enjoyed it
Things only seem obvious after the fact! Looking back on many of the puzzles you've solved this year, I've been impressed by your "never give up" attitude and that is a very valuable attribute to have. Have a Happy New Year!
ROFL... I think most people saw it pretty quickly. If you methodically try to eliminate all of the possibilities that don't use rotation, the solution just falls out. Mr.Puzzle clearly skimped on that step.
It's funny how different people have such different styles of solving a puzzle. Whereas many of the puzzles you solve I would have no clue where to start, this one was obvious to me within a few seconds. Great puzzle and interesting solve!
I figured it out after his first time he got to four in the box. To me this was a simple puzzle but eh, to some it's the simplest puzzles that's the most complicated ones.
Classic example of over-puzzling! Love it though, makes it more fun to watch and more satisfying when you solve it. Just remember, I'm laughing WITH you, not AT you.
You know what they say about hindsight right?? It's always easy when you know how, and over thinking it makes things so much harder. Hope you all had a nice Christmas, or Wednesday if that's all it was for you.
I get why you said that some people could just look at it and solve it just like that, no puzzle solver but i saw how to do it right away. The only puzzle that was like that so far.

Sometimes the most difficult puzzles are the ones we unwillingly create in our own minds. That is the lesson here.
7:47 when u placed those pieces on the back of the box it instantly clicked for me how to solve it 😂😂😂😂 really enjoyed watching you work this one out 😂👌💯💯
Watching you try to solve this puzzle, I was able to figure out a plan for solving the puzzle pretty early on all in my head. Spoiler Alert: For anyone wanting to try and solve the puzzle on their own do not read any further in this comment. My method of solving this puzzle: The way I approached this puzzle virtually in my head was I realized that you need to start by figuring what the orientation of the center and last piece of the puzzle must be. You were of course correct in that it needed to put in horizontally and upright. Once I figured that out I was able to figure out how all the other blocks must go together when inside the puzzle box. That meant that you must first form the U shape around the center block comprised of the two horizontal blocks on the bottom with two virticle blocks. But as you surmised, you can’t just put in a side piece then the two bottom pieces as that prevents you from putting in the other side piece since you can’t just put in the side piece horizontally then rotate 90 degrees and to the side. This is where it helps have played various computer/smartphone puzzle games that involves moving blocks around in order to either form a picture, rearranged numbered squares into order, or move a special block from one end of the puzzle area to another by moving other block around. There is an IOS game called “Unblock Me” that I used to play a lot that helped me out here. I realized that I was going to have to place the two horizontal bottom pieces and the two vertical side pieces inside the box but without all the pieces being in their correct positions at first. Once all the bottom and side pieces are all inside the box then you can rearranged them get them to their correct positions. So you can start with the two bottom pieces, with one in the bottom left position (or right position, it doesn’t matter). Then you insert the other bottom piece so that it’s just above the other bottom piece. Do not move it into int’s final position just yet. Now you can insert the two side pieces, one after the other in a verticle position. Now to get the two bottom pieces in the correct position you going to have to move the bottom piece already in position to the other side allowing you to slide the other bottom piece down, essentially swapping their positions in a sense. Then it easy to slide the inner side piece over to the other side. From there it’s obvious how the last two pieces go in. It’s that bit of rearranging near then end that trips people ups and watching you try and solve it, I could see that had the basic idea of the U Shape but were getting hung on the rearranging part until you come upon it by pure chance. When I saw you had come to the conclusion the you needed to form the U shaped first but new you couldn’t just insert all four pieces into their correct positions one at a time, I wanted to screen my phone that you were on the right track but need to figure to how to form the U shape in a indirect manner using more than four moves (in this case it requires 7 moves total). With the two additional moves required after that to complete the puzzle you end up with a total of nine moves in all.
Maybe it's just because I love sliding puzzles, but I got this solution just by looking at it for a minute. I think there is also another solution based on stacking two blocks on top of each other and moving them as a unit being flat. Loved the puzzle and loved watching you figure it out! Have a great new year :)
Wow, that was rough, lol, but satisfying when you got the last piece. Love the wood. It's funny how easy things are once you get the solution. You really had to think inside the box with this one. ;) This reminds me of the online game called klotski.
For Christmas this year my grandfather got a 3-in-one set box of those puzzles made out of bent metal rods that you have to separate from each other. Almost everyone tried the puzzles out and people from different sides of my family who wouldn’t otherwise really have spoken or hung out sat down and to some extent bonded with each other over them. Happy holidays!
On Christmas I did one of the Planets of the Galaxy puzzles and the metal Slideways puzzles are a big hit in my office; both I got because of your videos. Thanks for all that you do, and happy new year!
Lol. I am really good at slider puzzles (like unblock me or the number/picture sliding puzzles) so I could see the solution right away whenever you do them. You know that feeling where you are wanting to talk (or rather shout) through the screen to help solve it, but you know they can't possibly hear you... 😋
+Mr.Puzzle When you assembled the pieces on the base of the box in the correct configuration I was really surprised that you didn't see the method for putting them into the box, like you said, you had gotten fixated on one idea for solving it. I got 2 Hanayama puzzles for Xmas, Quartet and Trinity, I already have the Nut Case. The Quartet I took to pieces reasonably easily, though never paid attention to how I did it, so really struggling to do the final moves to complete it. The Trinity I found was much easier to dis-assemble and re-assemble and the Nut Case was very easy to do. I've looked through you videos and I don't think you have covered the Quartet, it would be interesting to see your approach.
I would love to say "That was easy because I play a lot of the game 'Unblock Me', which focuses on sliding the blocks around in order to free the red block," but as you pointed out it is because I was looking for an answer that had to do with sliding the blocks around rather than any rotations or twisting motions (which you do a lot because of your hedgehog puzzles). If that puzzle had required twisting or rotations, it would have taken me the hour and a half instead of only a minute and a half. It definitely went a lot better for you once you took the approach of figuring out how the last piece had to go in, as it left only one possible configuration.
:) this was kinda fun to watch it remindes me of a OLD OLD PC-Game i played in the 90s "Klotski" and i could see the solution kinda fast maybe the first and only time i can beat MR. Puzzle haha.
Microsoft Entertainment Pack 3, remember it well. Had the solution by 2:26 seeing the void as 2x3x4 cubes and understanding the hypotenuse/diagonal helps. Good puzzling.
It took me less than a minute to come-up with your solution after seeing the thumbnail, and before clicking the video. Maybe this is just my kind of puzzle, because I don't typically do so well with the other ones on your channel.
I bought the very rare Euro-Falle 2! I have number 4 (limited edition color!) and desparately wanted the rest but hardly anyone sells them! There are a few left on Amazon right now but number 2 is the only one I can find at the moment. I hope to finish the set one day :)
I guess it's always easier when your on the outside looking over your shoulder. But yes I saw the solution almost immediately. It was fun watching you struggle though. Glad We didn't have to watch the whole hour and a half. Keep on puzzling.
As my OCD makes me love cubic stuff, I'm very curious about that maze cube. Got myself hte "schrodinger cat" puzzle for xmas on your reccommendation, and have had a lot of fun solving it myself, aswell as seeing others give it a go. "Guten Rutsch!" and keep on puzzeling!
Maze Cube. I was given one of those 20+ years ago. The difference was inside was a "3-d plus" that you moved around. I never knew what to call it or where I can get a new one. I think it has 4 rows instead of your three. Difficulty rating 1, beacuse you just move the center plus from one end to the other end of the 3d maze.
I received 3 Hanayamas from my wife! Labyrinth, Padlock and Equa. I know I've seen your video awhile back on Padlock, but don't remember the solution. I admit I looked at your old video of Equa again,... AND I STILL CAN'T GET IT! lol
I got |The Great Minds| Set of Five Wooden Puzzles for Christmas, cause I told my sister I was interested in puzzles and that I watch your channel. I solved them all but one. Sadly I broke down and looked up how to solve it, after I watched my whole family try to solve it lmao.

Never a waste of time watching you solve puzzles.
"Thinking outside the box" helps you solving this puzzle. Literally and figuratively.

I don't feel so bad after taking a long time on some other puzzles after seeing you having problems on this. So for that, I thank you.
