I bought a used 2014 trek ds 8.2 yesterday for $50. The rear derailleur was totally messed up with the cages being bent way in towards the freewheel granny gear. Pulled it thinking I could take it apart however the entry level stuff is not servicable which I should have known.

I love this derailleur! Yes it's bulky, and odd looking, but it has been very reliable and easy to clean. Nice job on rebuilding it.

@@RetroRebuilds bought a Altus derailleur off ebay for $16...needs a shift cable and housing which shouldnt be more than $7 or so...
