Magnificent Sakhi. Semiotics of theatre! , Krishna viewed in viewless wings of Poesy, the ensemble passes for! ! With Kaushiki's, ( flute or no flute, ) and the dancer lass creating chronotopes through rhythmic weaving of hands , it's so well done that Krishna is caught, and I am clean bowled!
whatever it would be , it's a very good effort by koushiki & others violin , flute , pakhwaz , tabla , dance and vocal by koushiki ------ what a wonderful performances , the cocert impressed very much .
Himanshu Bora sorry! But can’t agree, this performances is all about radha or a female, there is no part for for krishna, a male. It’s only the female is speaking, and the male is silent, and so is the flute. IT IS ALL MOST A PERFECT PERFORMANCE. Plz understand the MEEZAZ of the raga before you criticize it.
Basuri ki ghanam apki meeting awajme hi.violin ki naadh bahuth khub hi.ham A.P. vala hi Hindi me mistake hito maphkarna mam.lekhin sachhi ehi mere akhome ragki aasu barghaya.krishki Krupa e gana see one Diya. thank you once again mam.
the last line should be "Binda Kahat jiya......." not Vrinda - it is a Bindadini Thumri, hence the last line is a typical signature of Bindadin Maharaj ji's composition, wherein either the performer poetically refers, directly to "Binda" or gives a reference of Binda. Also notice the Kathak dancer's posture on the last line, the left arm elongated and the right arm raised over her head - that is the terpsichorean signature of Binda Maharaj
what a wonderful initiative sakhi is. do they organize concerts in the u.s? violinist is very good....the girl doing sit-dancing is quite expressive...
GekeGTube Perhaps because any explanation would fall short of expressing the emotions in this intensely Indian classical narrative. Yet, consider yourself to be a woman devotee ( the dancer) who is deeply in love with God, represented by Krishna (unseeen in form, but seen clearly in your mind). One misty morning as you swayingly walk to a nearby stream to collect water in your pitcher, suddenly He is there playing His flute!. Krishna teases you, entices you, grabs you by the wrist, yet eludes you. You want Him with your heart and soul, but when you feel His touch you want to run away. His overpowering love scares you, because you feel you will completely lose your (ego) self. Krishna is a playful God, and you want to be played, you enjoy this personal, private musical, romantic peek-a-boo dance with Him. Yet you are afraid too....And there you have it !!
Wonderful, thank you very much! Did you gather this from the text, or from the dance gestures and movements? Or maybe this is a traditional and "everybody" knows it?!
GekeGTube The dance form ( Kathak) and the words are very traditional. Everybody in Northern, Hindi speaking parts of India are familiar with them! Actually it's more enjoyable if the dancer is on her feet dancing.
Very very good. But I don't understand how come this Vedic art? secondly new instrument in Tabala is not compatible with original. it deprives sweetness of Shiv ranjan and thus loses melody, particular end part of song.
watching SAKHI is wonderful. GOD bless the artists.
Magnifique moment de musique d'une grande sensibilité,les mélodies sont subtiles et supportées par une rythmique pertinente.
Bravo et merci!!!
Brilliant thinking and concept of sakhi it's really good to see really good🙏🙏🙏🙏

awesome presentation in totality. . ☺
ati sundar
Overall good presentation. But disappoint that in 12 min presentation no slot for flute. Flute is missing
Song relate to Krishna without flute.
Himanshu Bora yes you are right. flute is almost an inevitable party of Shivranhani. Overall excellent.
get over yourself
Swami Abhinnatmananda what exactly is a shivranhani?? Never heard of such thing!!!

Is this raas leela?
It would be nice if you could include at least some description of the story they are telling, for all of us who don’t know Hindi.

Tabla ka maza chala gaya, try with normal tabla
the tabla is not sounding music

Swami Abhinnatmananda this is not shivranjani... This is Purvi...madhyam Jaan of b flat.. so that makes it d sharp
