    Thank you for all of the great information on your channel. I finally purchased materials from your repotme link. I got slotted 6" orchid pots, orchid potting media, time release fertilizer and even a grow light! I can't wait to repot and care for my orchids, I'll make sure the temperature is a little lower and see if I can get some spikes. Just from following your videos and being more careful with the watering and root health my orchids have remained alive... something that I used to struggle with in the past.

    I’ve had my 14 phals in my bedroom window since the beginning of May, that window is never shut so when the temperature started to cool at night 12 of the 14 all started spikes.

    Great video! I live in Texas so it stays warm longer here, too. The nights have started to cool so I’ve been putting some of my phals outside at night. Hoping to see spikes soon. I did notice a basal keiki on one of my phals. The plant is very healthy looking and so I’m excited! Do Jiaho Pink Girl and equestris need a cool down? Thanks!

    I love your channel! I have received neglected phalaenopsis orchids from people to save. Sometimes they have flowers or are making new flower spikes. Should I remove these so the plant can put its energy into rejuvenation of the plant? Thanks!

    I have to brag. My Dancing Butterfly bloomed 7 times last season. I'm not lying I promise, 7 times. I couldn't believe it. During the Summer of 2022 she grew so many leaves that she no longer fit on my window sill, hence the 7 flower spikes. This year she slowed down but is already in spike here in October, go two of them. Let's see what she does.

    Hello. Another great video, Dani! I've got a grocery store phal in a 3" pot with quite a few nice green roots circling the inside of the pot plus a couple pretty long aerial. It's a dark, dreary late fall here in the Pacific Northwest, but I'm keeping her under grow lights at around 50-80 ppfd depending on the leaf and temperatures around 19-20C during the day and 17-18C overnight.
    My question is whether it's an ok time to repot to give her roots a little more room and mix in some repotme phal classic gold mix for more aeration as a bit of insurance against overwatering. Advice would be greatly appreciated!

I have been looking for a phalaenopsis zambia like tge one you haveon the table in the beginning of the video for quite some time, having lost mine to a mosaic virus (that took half my collection!!) Could you please share where you got yours? Even if itwas a flower shop near you, maybe they havea website and I can order it. Everywhere I look it's sold out😢

    Hi Danny I have had the same 10 orchids ranging 3-8 years now. They have always been great bloomers usually each plant would bloom 2x a year until last year when I moved.. it seem everyone of them refuses to grow a new spike and they are consistently growing new leaves. I didn't change my watering or fertilizer routine and i have tried multiple different placements with varying amount of light with no success 😢 Any tips?

    I have 3 jewels orchids( ludiscia discolor, spiderman, and marmorata) since june and the leaves change color and dry , they don't like very good, perhaps it's a life cycle or maybe not... Now I change the place and I put under my artificial light and raise the humidity to 50, and use distilled water, maybe you can help me and make another video like these orchids look so bad! here's why! of couse when your have a little time, after your moving place.....thanks

    I've had some issues every year with my orchid's roots, so it wasn't able to produce spikes, this winter I was away for a month and left them at my friend's house, she forgot to drain the water and one of them lost all but 1 root, she's recovering. The other's roots are mostly ok but it started loosing the leaves, now it has a keiki (how long will it take to be mature enough to start blooming?) I hope I can get some flowers next year. I'm southern hemisphere so I have time to recover them I hope

    I’ve been doing the nightly cool down for 3 weeks, only one (mini mark) of my 9 phals decided to spike. None of them are new to my collection, all should be acclimated to my environment. How long should I keep up the night time open window before just giving up on them spiking this year? (Only one may potentially be set back and have obvious reason to not bloom- the rest all seemed to have had a great vegetative growth this year.)

    I broke off the center leaf of my phalaenopsis when I was repoting it. Someone said it wouldn't grow from the crown anymore. Is that true, is there anything else I can do for it?

    • @daxxydog5777
      @daxxydog5777 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Give it good care and hope it grows a keiki? I guess it depends on how badly the stem itself was damaged, like if only the outer part of the leaf was damaged, but not the base and it continues to grow?

    • @FeatheredFarmyardFun
      @FeatheredFarmyardFun 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@daxxydog5777 The leaf just tore, the base of the leaf is still intact from where it's growing and it seems to have healed over well. I don't think the stem was damaged at all. The plant is still adjusting to being removed from it's pot, it's roots are dying off and it dropped it's bottom leaf. But the other leaves are looking great.
