I once heated pliers and a knife to bend fenders and cut door edges open and bended them. Gives a real nasty look to a rat. I used it on a 4-runner crawler i made. Was my first ruaty model i made. Now i‘m here because a friend gave me a sand scorcher as a gift. Now i build it box art first. I allready received a second bidy and wheelset. It will be a rat like yours. All the same thoughts, i just don‘t have the practice. I might just bend the torsion bars from the rear end if that works. To get it lower. Actually i like how the original car stands now. Yours looks like it‘s built like it gets somewhere
Man! That sand scorcher looks even better now with the engine detail! You're giving me great ideas! You see! I bought a sand scorcher when they first re-issued it! Started building it and almost finished it, but I put it on the back burner. And never went back to finished! It's been unlist about 4 years! I put it back inside the box and started some other projects, but now I think it's time to get back to the scorcher. Very cool job and well done brother!
I didn´t know it was now unlisted. Ever since they reintroduced the Sand Scorcher I´ve thought that I could get a new one whenever I got the money together. I should have got one five years ago...
that looks sick man as for what is next for it where the holes are for the mirrors maybe a mirror on one side and a Gatling gun on the other that thing reminds me of something you would see during an apocalypse
RC Everyday do you know wheelbase? If you still got. I think it may be too small. I need 11.3. Thanks for replying to an old thread. One of the reasons I love you channel.. along with the cool rat rods..
Thank you for using our parts and doing such a great review! Your Bug is awesome.

Watching you build this thing up has made me want to get one. Put it on the list.
Excellent detail work, and weathering. Gonna have to try some of those products.

You could probably still find them in hobby shops! Or maybe you could still order one.
I´m still reeling from the shock of finding they´ve been discontinued for so long.
If that's the case! Your best bet is eBay
eBay it shall have to be...
The hole bug looks much better! and I bet that when the bug is under power it will sit just right. Nice work bud get us a new running video of it now.

Looks good bud! Looks like you need to weather the silver/chrome parts up front and on the wheels. 👍🏼
Turned out great Josh.
with the engine and windshield in and weathered, the scorcher pops
Just a thought for the look you are going for you could cut the hood of the back of the body to show the engine more.

Looks to be around 248 to 250mm on wb. A little short for your rig. I am always happy to help answer stuff when I can my friend.
You need a winch!
Bend the exhaust out of tubing.
