    Thank your for comparing these. I was thinking these are a little too sheer for me, but the Romand's look really nice!

    I just got metropolis. It is so beautiful. So happy you compared it to glasting balms. Love your content.
    Do you think the metropolis shade is similar to glasting lip tint in Dark Coconut

    I could not resist trying at least one of the LE baumes. I never heard of Romand but thank you for the comparison. I will forever want more lucents they are simply my favourite.

    I had a hard time listening to what you were saying because I couldn’t get over how stunning your complexion looked - gorgeous🤩!
    The colour of the LE melting baume looks beautiful on you. I’m interested to know if it’s a product that it’s good for bringing along in the purse all day in the ( hopefully ) hot summer weather. Since it contains a few different oils and the packaging is metal it has the potential to melt. Is the formula stable enough?
    Maybe it’s a stupid question/ thought, but I would be sad if I spent £26 and it melted down to a soupy mess. 💕

      @themakeuparchivesx  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you so much ☺️ ❤ and for your question, I can only go off of what I’ve experienced in the past with other melting balms, which is, they get much more emollient and soft on top but they don’t turn into mush or make a mess and stay in shape/in their compartment. You have to be careful and gentle applying them in really hot weather because they’re so soft and you can deposit a lot of product xx

    Hello😊 This is the first time I have seen your channel which came up as I searched for LE balm reviews on here. I never heard of the romand melting balms, I might try one instead and save a few £££. You look stunning but a lot younger than me, would you recommend the romand balms for 50yr old drying lips ? 😊

    What is the color of the Romand glassing melting balm you’re using? It looks gorgeous on you but I don’t see the shade in the description. This was a really comprehensive review, I’m not sure if I’m sold on the LE, perhaps if more unique colors come out but I do like Metropolis and how it looks on you.

    Hello! Great overview🌟 Do you have swatches of other Romand lip products? I prefer my lip colors to be on the more muted or natural side, so I'm curious if they offer some toned down shades? I love Lisa's products, but I also like keeping money in my pocket ;-) Thank you for the lovely overview and excellent lighting in your video!

    Thank you for the comparisons! And it's too bad that it doesn't have the magnetic closure, especially at that price point. Looks so lovely but the point you make about the Romand price point is true too, with melting balms being so popular there are more options to choose from.

    • @themakeuparchivesx

      From what I can tell the Romand does not use the same oils, but has many in its ingredients, including: Olive, Fruit Oil, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil & Evening Primrose oil x

    • @themakeuparchivesx
      @themakeuparchivesx  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I think you’ll be able to but the oils and balms will make the velvets a lot more slick and not long wearing!

    Unpopular opinion: Im happy that it doesn’t have the magnetic closure because these products are not refillable, and when they have magnets inside, it makes it extremely difficult (or impossible) to recycle.
    That really upsets me with the original LE lipsticks, I think if she wants them to be magnetised, the she could easily make them refillable, with the casing even more weightier and luxurious, and making it a bit more sustainable in the process. Why not even (since she’s so into artistic inspiration), making more sculptural casings, collectible in themselves? This can be applicable to almost the full range (she kind of did that with the eyeshadows, although she hasn’t been able to keep them in stock properly), but mainly her lipsticks, since they are a go-to product that people tend to repurchase time and time again, especially those who wear one or two signature colours. And if you don’t use it up before it expires, you can always just repurchase another bullet.
    For me, luxury prices shouldn’t stop on the more superficial experience itself for the user, they should come with a more in-depth thought out product that also encompasses the impact of the component’s lifespan.
    Great review, as always. I’m waiting on mine too.
    I’ve been a huge fan of Romand and other k beauty lip balms for a good while, so it’ll be a tough comparison - is the golden case and slightly more “frou frou” formula be worth the 20 extra pounds for me? I’m super curious 😅

    • @themakeuparchivesx
      @themakeuparchivesx  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for informing me of that with the magnetized caps! I had no idea. What you said about the sculptural casings is so true also! I would adore that x

    • @thefreevolous
      @thefreevolous 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@themakeuparchivesx I believe, from a bit of research I did a while ago when I did a huge declutter and wanted to make sure I recycled as much as possible, it’s because they use magnets to separate the different types of metal. So stuff with magnets just makes a huge mess and disrupts the whole process. Fun fact: mirrors are also a no-no for recycling.
      Wouldn’t it be amazing to have these brands come out with stunning refillable compacts and casings? If I had a makeup brand, that’s the route I’d take ❤️

    Personally underwhelmed. Just got my two shades, had them now for one day at work, so I need to keep testing them, but a) they are ok (not terribly) hydrating but especially b) they are very short lasting. To see some colour and hydration I had to keep reapplying and at that price tag, honestly .... I really wanted to love them but so far I'm a bit disappointed.
