I made that mistake dude, lol watched the movie on Netflix before going to bed and then couldn't sleep because of its epicness I than watched all 1-6 movies i continued to stay up after and went to see creed all in that same day. It's strange to think of this franchise in hindsight. By the beginning of Rocky III he has his brother in law Pauly, his wife Adrian, his son Robert, his coach Micky and his new friend Apollo. In "Creed" we are faces with a very different Rocky. Micky is dead. Apollo is dead. Adrian is dead. Pauly is dead. And Rocky is battling cancer.
I think it’s meant to show how much he’d lost and yet he keeps battling because much like apollo adonis motivates him to be better Apollo taught him how to be a better boxer while he already had a perfect life with his family and friends and how to deal with difficulties After rocky became the best he had nothing more to learn about boxing but his life became a living nightmare with all his friends dying and his loved one gone so he finds no point but to kill himself But creed saved him and gave him a reason to live and in the end even saved him from cancer and gave him a new family Beautiful thing it’s like a closure Damn you stallone thank you for even existing if it wasn’t for you i would’ve lost all motivation by the time i was 12
