It might sound weird, but I really love hearing children speak French. To my English-speaking brain it seems like an incredibly sophisticated language, but coming from a child adds a certain artlessness that makes it really delightful.
I feel like that's the only way, I can learn French

I sometimes feel like I am not talented enough to learn French because even I have passed DELF B1, I cannot understand most of parts in Easy French when young people are speaking. It says 'Easy' french, but I don't get what they are saying so that makes me worry a lot.

Appreciated the slower speech with simpler words in this video. "Easy French" is often not easy at all as the people interviewed speak so fast. This video showed me that after 4 years of effort trying to learn French I have reached the conversational level of a 3 year old !

Bonjour Les Gar! I would like to share two things with the wonderful gang at Easy French. First, and sincerely, thank you for working so hard to bring the French language to the world. I have been trying to learn french and weekly have a tutor from the South of France. She is wonderful, but can't possibly represent all the variations in accent and demeanor that your wonderful videos capture - Thank you! Also, regarding this Christmas video specifically...I have a rather terrible Christmas this year and seeing the lovely children so full of joy brought tears to me eyes and reminded me of the true spirit of the holiday. I love how the kids pronounce their "r"s, i.e., the French "r". Many L1 English-speakers have trouble with this when speaking French. Perhaps trying to imitate these kids would help.

Is it fast? I thought it was slower, perhaps because my native language is spanish and spanish is very similar to italian.
And they do not act as reserved or reticent as their French-speaking counterparts. Take note of the swing one girl takes at the other, all in fun, certanente!😜😀🧡🐣🐥

so as children they speak clearly, when do they start speaking as fast as they physically can for literally no reason? High school?
Yeah I would say between middle school and high school. Personally, I always spoke very fast as a kid but usually, people speak fast during teenagehood because this is the period where you have more and more responsibility such as homework, difficult exams, lot of classes etc…without counting the activities out of school. They also start to get on social media more than before, so it’s an age where French kids don’t want to lose anytime saying something, they don’t want to miss anything and they don’t care if they speak really fast as long as they say what they want to say. French people usually hate losing time and being late and slow and this starts to show between middle school and high school.
J'aime bien les enfants. Parce qu'ils parlent lentement, je peux enfin comprendre un peu. Je pense que je suis enfant dans le domaine du français

+Sleipnir "Ça va Ava" is rather funny! :)) Using assonances is a great thing to do.
More so, children do their best to speak as good as they can and these kids are great. ;)

these days kids get lot of presents, not saying it good or bad, but when I was a kid I only could have dreamt about so many gifts...
+John John It's a prosperous time to be alive for most of the world.
Each year I would only get one present for Christmas and would be very happy to have something. Even though I come from a prosperous family, my parents never really spoiled me and taught me to value what I had. Those kids in the video get like a tonne of presents and I don't get that at all.
They're rich parisians so yes those children got what they want :) Not saying it's good or bad either
