Why not take blood samples from the brain and cerebrospinal fluid to look for fragments of DNA or RNA from viruses, bacteria, fungi, or parasites? Why doesn't anyone test the hypothesis of intracellular infection?

Maybe because of the risk of damage (infection?) If you take a bloodsample?

I had six weeks of TMS. The stim to brain is not magnetism. That is abit of a misnomer. The magnetism is in the machine and creates an electrical shock to the brain. So, you can think of it as a weaker but targeted form of electro- shock therapy. In my case it made depression worse. It also did brain damage to me. It damaged my memory. It hurt my ability to focus and concentrate. I could not think clearly during and after these treatments. I now believe that shocking our wonderful brain with electricity is a bad idea. I would never do this again, and I cannot recommend it to anyone. There has to be a better way.... Sorry, I feel obligated to share my experience. Beware.

Sorry for your experience. Former Electro Shock would affect memory quite a lot. In the 1950s-1960s” thought that memory loss of depressive thoughts would help depression!! Then did it on only 1/2 brain to reduce memory loss. Health care is awful

@@tracysmith245IMO the comment above isn't saying to shock people. They are saying that causes could be infection and parasites, and the methods of shock and magnets kill parasites and bacteria. I believe they are saying maybe those should be investigated as the cause. (If the shock works to cure, maybe a parasite was killed in the process)

QQQ could micro clots lodged in brain be affected by this stimulus? I came across a US Patent granted to Rockefeller University in 2020 that covers manipulation of nano particles in this manner. It has occurred to me that part of the LNP was charged to foster binding(graphene oxide) and, if particles were present and involved in the occlusion, could be shifted allowing break down of clots resulting in restoration of blood flow.

Neither. I don’t take it. I believe in it’s utility for major depression though. Studies have proven a single IV dose can help the patient bounce out of a depressive episode. This is such a benefit due to conventional oral medications requiring days to weeks to take effect. The nasal version is still being tested for effectiveness. Thanks for the comment. Wishing all in this community better health.

I'd just eat 300 grams of beef tallow or suet along with 200 grams of the meat every day for 1 month and then check the depression levels.Don't be surprised if all the depressed are much better. It's the lack of saturated fat that our brains and nervous system needs to maintain itself and it can't use PUFAs to rebuild/repair itself that is the cause of depression.
