Jay Marshall and the Linking Rings

Jay Marshall performing his classic 5 ring Linking Ring routine. This was filmed in the fall of 1996 in the theater at Magic Inc. in front of a lay audience. Fran Marshall was in attendance. Jay was a dear friend and I miss him.

I met Jay once at Magic Inc. I was buying some pictures of magicians (among other things) and I bought one of Jay. They asked if I wanted it autographed, and of course I said yes. Jay came out and autographed the picture for me. A very nice man.

Very professional. This is how you entertain. The Magic is not in what you do but how you do it. Here is a perfect example. Glad this clip is posted. Jay is mentioned many times in my research about the rings. After seeing this, I now know why. Excellent.

Katie, my dear, it's because of the joy that Master Marshall exhibits while he plays to his audience. I've seen other 'Magicians' & there are those who quite frankly have lost that sense of play. The rings are quite beauitful to watch, no doubt, but require experienced hands and a bright & wondrous mind :)
