You're doing fine broski. I know a lot of people out there who got rejected and waitlisted from uci this year (including me who was waitlisted) it is totally okay to feel shitty after getting rejections. Although I only have a waitlist instance (uci), I landed in all the other schools I applied to (some of the few are; ucla, Berkeley, ucsd, Davis, cal poly slo, etc.) You should be proud of your accomplishments regardless!! :D Congrats on getting into Davis, it is an amazing school from what I've heard!
I had a 4.4 weighted 3.9 unweighted (varsity sports 2y, jv 2y, 2y athletic training club, 2y job and other local leadership positions blah blah blah) ~Applied for nursing~ Rejected from: UCLA, Berkeley, UMich, UNC, SDSU Waitlisted: UCI, CSULB Accepted: Utah, Ohio State University, University of Illinois Chicago Acceptances were super selective this year. I promise everyone applying or getting ready to apply over the next couple years is gonna do great at whichever college you go to. Admissions get more selective every year so don't be too hard on yourself. We all end up with the same job no matter what. However, don't let it take away from your accomplishments. The school that gets you will be lucky to have you :) keep your head up and keep an open mind
Back in my day 11 years ago, a reject from irvine or davis basically guarantees a reject from the other schools so no surprise here. Btw if you didnt get davis. Was your backup CC?
I wish I could be a help but…I don’t think I have rly good tips 😭my gpa/ap scores/ extra curriculars were pretty average…but I clearly showed my passion for env sci in my essays and that’s my major so there might be a correlation there..?
Literally just maintain almost straight As and you're in 😂. They can care less about your extracurriculars (unless you don't have the basic volunteering, internship, etc). My unweighted was kinda shit (3.87) but my weighted (4.53) made up for it. Take hard classes and you're fine.
