It's such a great reminder when I see folks visiting DC for the first time. I was born here and, honestly, so many of these buildings become background. When see them all the time, you get jaded. Thanks for reminding me of their beauty.
I am so happy for you two. Congratulations! Thanks for the great tour of the capitol. I have been there several times. (Not the White House.) It was wonderful to see it through your eyes. Thanks for all that you do. Peace
Everything you both said about the importance and significance of The White House is so true. Regardless of politics or anything, it is an iconic and unique building in American and World History. Ya’ll are so blessed to have the opportunities to visit and experience such fascinating places around the world! We live vicariously through you two! Thank you…Merry Christmas/Buon Natale! (I hope that is the correct way to say/spell it!) ❤️
What an honor! Glad to see you guys had such a great time in DC. Next time you can plan a visit, I highly recommend going in March or early April for the cherry blossoms and visiting the FDR memorial. It's absolutely gorgeous.
if you ever go back to Washington DC you need to go to arlington cemetery ,they have guided tours you can take of the tomb of the unknown soldier that is guarded 24/7 and general Lees plantation that looks over all of Washington, the view is breathtaking. there is also the whole Kennedy family is buried there as well! it is really something special .
I love you Sarah. Please never feel inadequate about your self or anything. Your videos are amazing!! You are a very good person and so is your husband ❤❤ thank you. I’ve never been to the capital and it was an awesome video! Tell her Carlos she is great and the video was great to show America! (Which I know you already do). ❤❤❤❤
This was such a great video, to see all the sights and your excitement at all the memorials in Washington and then ... at the White House! Amazing that you got to be there in person at a special reception for Italian-Americans! Also very funny seeing Carlo explain/remind Sarah about how American government works. 😄
How cool for you guys! So happy you both had such an amazing experience! FYI the architecture of D.C. re the monuments and some of the buildings such as the court houses was based on ancient Roman and Greek styles and architecture as democracy and the idea of democracy originated in Ancient Greece so that idea of creating a city based in the idea of of Ancient Greek democracy was then emulated in the construction and monuments you find around the city.
Grew up near DC and always took the scenery and landmarks for granted. Only thing that sucks is the traffic especially on the beltway and the crime if you’re in the wrong area especially 😂
Hey guys! Great video! Being from the DMV area, I can say I appreciate how nice it is to live here, and it never gets boring to visit the museums, tourist attractions and Lincoln Memorial. 💜
I love you guys together ❤️ 💛, many more years of happiness 😊. Summer 2025 is my 19th anniversary, and I know y'all will be together forever as well. Such a beautiful couple.
I was in DC last when I became a citizen. I arrived in 2000 (aged 19), served in the army, bought some land for 1/5 of what its worth now (2009 was tough for many but I took advantage of it) ~ all this in a green card. Finally, I got my citizenship, and sped home to Oklahoma. I love America but DC is truly a decrepit swamp & the many, MANY murders don't even compare to what the government is doing to us. No politician EVER became a millionaire while in power in Ireland. (Meanwhile back at the ranch, these guys are really cool) My wife is in love with Carlo😢😂) Godless y’all & Merry Christmas 🎄
I don't know about politicians, in general, becoming millionaires.. but if you're referring to Trump, he was a millionaire way before he became President. The Presidency didn't make him rich.
I could go all political, but even I would have jumped at the chance to go to the White House no matter the party.. Happy you were able to attend , like you said once in a lifetime opportunity. Hope you enjoyed and have good memories to pass onto your children. ❤❤❤❤
We lived outside DC when I was a kid. Some of my earliest childhood memories are visiting the nations capital and all of the monuments. There's a photo of my friend and I, climbing on the fence at the White House. Not sure you could do that now 😅
So saute onions , tomatoes, basil, garlic in olive oil, add water , then Put in a blender with burrata , boil pasta , and mix basil and parm in a food processor and top with more burata cheese , and the parm mixture. Am i close ? Lol😂
I've been to D.C. once when I was in highschool but wasn't fortunate to be involved into the White House !!! Eeek!! ☺️☺️ How exciting!! Even though it represents our politics I'm glad there are no political discussions on your page. You are my break from all of that. ❤ I'm also glad that at some point you put the phone away. As much as we like it when you share your life with us, I'm glad you took the opportunity to really savor the moment and try to let it sink in, even though I understand how surreal it all must have felt. Glad you both had this amazing experience!! I'm so happy for you 💞💞💞😊😊😊
Technically speaking, not every president has lived in the WH as it wasn't finished during Washington's terms. John Adam's, second president, became the first to actually live there. Aside from that, holy smokes you guys!! Thank you for bringing us on your trip. I'm a former Social Studies teacher, love visiting DC, and think more people should go. I loved that you guys were invited to the WH for your unique, once-in-a-lifetime event. 😉
On the off chance that you guys might actually see this comment... my partner and I were in Philly this past weekend and made a second trip to an Italian restaurant we had greatly enjoyed there a few years ago: Gran Caffe L'Aquila. Looking into the history of the place on their website, it is VERY authentically Italian (was originally an award-winning cafe in Italy, destroyed by earthquake, decided to rebuild in Philly, whole restaurant was then designed and built in Italy and shipped to U.S. for installation) and is run by a "gelato champion" and "award winning restaurateur." I'd love to see you guys check it out and hear Carlo's thoughts on what the food there is like compared to "in-Italy" Italian food - and you could tie it in to other Philly landmarks, like the LOVE statue or Independence Hall/the Liberty Bell/etc. Anyway, other than that, great vlog and endearing content, as always
When my husband is speaking Swedish with his family while we are riding in the car, as long as they are not talking at warp speed I can follow somewhat .. but if they're soft spoken and or talk fast 🙄ugh . My pronunciation still needs help.
Been there, done that. Also went to the Senate and spoke with our rep and had lunch in the Senate Dining Room, where the white bean soup is a classic. Am still incensed that political factions forced the removal of historical figures/statues from the Rotunda.
They got invited as part of Italian-American Heritage Month! Otherwise, you typically have to know someone who works there to get in. I’ve been to the Christmas Tour, the Easter Egg Roll, and the Kitchen Garden!
As an Italian-American myself, I want to say it was such an honor for the two of you to be invited to the White House.
"Once in a lifetime IS unique" GO CARLO! 🙏

Carlo, you’re killing me! The big pencil… Really the big pencil lol I just love it
Honestly, that's not boring AT ALL. I've never been and it looks incredible. Happy for you guys!!
Look at you Carlo and Sarah! In the White House!! 💪🇺🇸👍

It’s so nice to see how amazed people from different countries appreciate our nations capitol. We as Americans need to appreciate it more.
What an honor! Glad to see you guys had such a great time in DC. Next time you can plan a visit, I highly recommend going in March or early April for the cherry blossoms and visiting the FDR memorial. It's absolutely gorgeous.
Love to see you travel guys! Liked this video very much!!
Love you guys! You're like us French, thinking and talking about the next meal while having lunch 😂 💜🤍💜

Sempre carini!!!
How did you guys get a tour? I keep visiting the website and it says there are no tours available right now
They got invited as part of Italian-American Heritage Month! Otherwise, you typically have to know someone who works there to get in. I’ve been to the Christmas Tour, the Easter Egg Roll, and the Kitchen Garden!
Did you meet jessi and alessio there?
Yes!!!! They were super sweet🤍
Opposite of boring! Amazing!
8:01 Sorry for asking but was that the real desk ?
No, they have a fake one somewhere else for people to take pictures with.
