Glenn, you are so lucky to see God‘s creation firsthand, words cannot express how beautiful it is. Thank you Amy for doing all the technical work and putting on the music ,splicing the video, etc. you both make a great team. Thank you.
Thank You Amy for putting up with all you do to bring us these Amazing vids. Really enjoying these longer vids especially with the driving. Thanks for letting us see everything as you do. Oh BTW Glenn Thank You for doing this & letting us be a art of these Amazing Adventures.
Back in October 2018, I visited Sequoia NP and intended to visit King's Canyon as well, but it was a few days after they closed the road for the season. Having watched this video, it's obvious I wouldn't have had enough time that afternoon to really enjoy it. It was already late in the afternoon when I was at Hume Lake. This video definitely puts a full day visit to King's Canyon back on my radar!
This is my local national park, and it is beautiful (and much less crowded than Yosemite, which is a couple hours north). Btw, the sequoias only grow between about 4500-6500 feet of elevation. When you enter the park one of the first things you run into is Grant Grove, but as you descend into the canyon you stop seeing them. Also, if the campgrounds have all been closed for refurbishment and repair. The area along the river, where the campgrounds are, was badly damaged, due to flooding during the last couple winters. In fact, that entire part of the park was closed for well over a year. The big parking lot you passed, for what you did not see a sign, was the parking lot for Roaring River Falls, the park’s other major waterfall which you mentioned. There is only a very small sign, and not surprised you missed it!
Ah! That makes sense, especially given the boardwalk being washed out. And I had a feeling that's what the parking lot was after the fact. Wish we had stopped to film it! 😞 Appreciate the info! Thank you. 👍
Loved Kings Canyon. I wish I dedicated more time to it on my last trip. I started in Sequoia then said "I'll drive down and back real quick" before heading up toward Yosemite. For a "sister park" of Sequoia, many parts impressed me more than Sequoia (which was no slouch itself).
Oh, Sequoia is fantastic as well. Together they really make a great pairing and we enjoyed our time there. Still want to go back and spend more time there too. 😅
Wow!! Loved the amazing technical glitch presentation. So relaxing and beautiful. Kings Canyon is one of my favorite national parks. Thanks for capturing so many amazing views.
Hey Slim, Howdy pard! Y'all did a wonderful, beautiful, and a very good job of both filming and editing. Hats off to Glenn and Amy and you, the work horse of the bunch. Wanted to remind you of the choke hazards in and around them thar fires. If your getting a little slow on the take off or maybe sputtering now and then, have Glenn check your air filters. Sometimes they forget and that ash can really get the best of us. Y'all did a fine job. I even shared! Hope everyone else did also.😊
Slim is a happy camper with a nice clean filter supplied courtesy of Glenn after that very trip. He was especially happier after the eviction of a pack rat nest. Glenn went and filmed that on our CampVue channel. Hahaha. 😅
Interesting you mention that. We just released Hume Lake Campground (a Sequoia National Forest campground) yesterday. I saw the Christian Camp signs when I drove through and it was very crowded, but it looked like a very nice area. One that I would love to go back to for sure. In fact, now that I surveyed most of the campgrounds in both Kings and Sequoia and the surrounding National Forest, the next time I go, I plan to camp outside the parks in one of the campgrounds of the area (like in Hume), or Princess, or Stony Creek.
This park may be the most underrated NP in the country.. yes please!!
It's certainly on the list for sure. We don't ever hear much about it and it's a real shame.

Thank you so so much! 😄
Absolutely wonderful. Such views are nothing short of spectacular. Thanks Glen, for the invite. Glad I came along. Hi Amy. On to the next adventure.
Many thanks! That area really left an impression. 😄
Absolutely stunning views! You need a wetsuit, and then you can go kayaking! I can't wait to see more.
No joke. The S.S. Baller needs a float trip. 🤣
Incredibly stunning scenery! Wow! Imagine if the skies were clear!! 😮😀
Oh, I know. The prescribed burns kinda obscured a lot of the scenery. 😔

You are so welcome! We always appreciate your kind words. 😊
Beautiful scenery and interesting cabin. I'd hate to get lost in the mountains though!
Could be fun and beautiful. Could also end up with Bigfoot. Never know. 🤣
This is such an awesome place! I had no idea just how majestic it is. Loved the river and waterfalls! Good work on the drone shots! Thanks so much!
Thanks so much as well! We just scratched the surface sadly. So much more to see and do.

It's well worth the visit and carving out a day to explore. Can't recommend it highly enough! 👍
That is the path up to the cave. A bit of a huff n puff.
I read about that on their web page! Sounds like a short bit, but steep. So used to cavern entrances being lower. 🫨

Glad you enjoyed it! We were a bit nervous leading up to the edit about how it would turn out. 😅
Yall knocked it out of the park with another great video!
Appreciate it!! Thanks so very much! 😀🙌

Very nice video.
Thank you very much!
Thanks!
Dude. Sharing AND this?? You're going to spoil us. Thank you! 😊😊
Please put Hume Lake on campvue. It's listed as a Christian camp but the lake, cabins, camping and store is for regular sinning folk as well. like us.

Beautiful scenery, but I miss the old content.
We're sorry to hear that. Which content are you referring to as we try to switch up videos and trip locations to keep things varied.
The remote historic ruins. Its why we started watching your channel. @CactusAtlas
Why isn't the truck talking 😭
Aww. Slim is doing a lot of planning on a future trip so he wasn't available for a voice over. 😅
Just a suggestion, tilt the outside camera up some. We don't need to see slims hood.
Thanks for the suggestion. 👍
