    Will be in Guadalajara for the winter… but we are going to make a couple side trips for a couple weeks.. last time we did this, we went to Puerto Vallarta…. Would you go there or would you go to Sayulita ???
    PVR will probably be packed in Feb -March … wondering about here ..

    Thanks

    • @EileenAldis
      @EileenAldis  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Vicki! haha it's a pretty big range for these places. Best to check the individual websites (linked in the description box) because the rates change a lot based on season and availability and all that jazz :) I also put an Airbnb discount code if you wanna check out those out in Sayulita too! Excellent video and nice looking accommodations. You made Sayulita look like paradise. To be fair, viewers should be cautioned about the many concerns about the water quality in the Sayulita bay (see Trip Advisor forum for many posts about the high prevalence of stomach issues). We visited on a day trip, the day after a rain, and there was a toxic mess streaming from the river into the ocean. It attracted a swarm of jelly fish and people were getting stung all along the beach. I have heard many stories from friends who picked up stomach bugs while in that town (presumably while swimming or maybe from tap water washing dishes). Sayulita is very easy to get to (direct flights from Canada and USA, easy taxi or bus from PVR), but this is a town that has developed too fast - beyond what the infrastructure can accommodate (I hear there is a new sewage treatment plant, but ...?). I am not sure I would call it chill either - it seems like there is a large population of loud partiers who are on their first non-all-inclusive holiday.

    • @EileenAldis
      @EileenAldis  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad you enjoyed the video! That certainly doesn't sound good and I'm sorry to hear that. Everyone's experience is different and ours was definitely more positive. I hope that any necessary infrastructure will be built to accompany Sayulita's increase in tourism.

    That's wonderful advice and opinions of each hotel but I am very surprised that you did not quote the MOST important thing. The price per night for each hotel. This really needs to be shared as folks have different budgets. Not everyone can afford $100's of USD per night.

    • @EileenAldis
      @EileenAldis  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your comment - budget is definitely top of mind, especially when choosing a place to stay. The reason we didn't include nightly prices in the video is that they change so frequently based on season, days of the week, discounts, inflation, etc. I listed the hotel websites in the description box so people could get an accurate nightly rate themselves. Hope that helps.

    • @jjburns8762
      @jjburns8762 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@EileenAldis Thanks for your reply. I understand what you are saying but some idea of price would be better then none. Perhaps the price per night and what days and time of season you stayed. I think most folks know the prices can go up, but an idea would be so much more helpful. Food for thought.
