My dad used to make this back in the 70's and me and my brothers were not appreciative enough at the time, but I make it myself now, and I make it good !! From tbe ground up starting with thick bacon, andouilli sausage, veg trinity, pre-soaked beans, broth, my own left-over smoked pork pieces with meat, and a variety of herbs. Simmers for hours until the beans are creamy. This video's makin me drool. 👍👍👍🪗🪗🪗🍲🍲🍲
I’m from New Orleans and grew up on Camellia Red Beans. What brand of red beans did you cook? Did you add a Bay Leaf? I prefer pig tails and ham hocks or shanks. Did you smash up some beans against the inside of the pot near the end to make it creamy? We didn’t soak overnight. Keep up the good work!
