Good question! When dry fitting you don't want to force the mouthpiece onto the neck all the way into playing position, try for getting it half way there. Then, with cork grease applied you can slide it all the way to playing position. This may get easier over time as well as the natural cork compresses.
This is definitely a much cleaner way of removing and applying a neck cork than I've been doing, thank you!

When you're sanding & adjusting the cork after it's installed, how far on to the neck / cork do you want the mouthpiece to go without any cork grease?

does any contact cement work? Or do you have any recommendations
I belive this is the contact cement that you can buy on the website they have, but I'm not too sure.
