I make it a personal policy to comment and like if a video was helpful. Just did this on my titan. The only thing I would add is that gettin your grill back on is easier if you just buy some plastics screw posts for the frame. Cheers.
I did the exact same mod on my 09 Armada that has 200K miles on it, but in my case, I decided to bypass the original radiator heat exchanger and just used both the original transmission cooler that is located between the radiator and condenser, in addition to the hayden. Now, the gauge never creeps up higher than the center line, and the only issue I'm having, is that the transmission takes ages to warm up. Other than that, its has been running strong!
Hey Ahmad any info on that I need to do it soon and it seems straight forward. Never have done it though. Not sure if you could help a brother out and help me through the process I want to do it the same way you did!
How has that Trans cooler been holding up?? And do you have a link where I can get this same one.. I have a 12Tpro4x but I'm sure it's all the same thing. Thanks I'm advance.
Thanks for the video, been looking for one for awhile. I have a 09 Titan that doesn't have a separate towing cooler for the transmission. I've heard stories of titans lines breaking in the radiator mixing antifreeze with transmission. I can't afford $5-7,000 for a new transmission.
I have an 07 and my tranny temp gauge dose the same thing and when I pull my Popup Tent Trailer. I am going to try this and see if it works for me. Thanks for the video!
Hello, good day, I have a question and what happens with the two disconnecting lines that come from the radiator, can you explain? The inlet connection and the outlet connection at the bottom left are left without a plug or do I have to put a plug in them?
Hi - we have a 2011 Armada and I have the exact same issue - we tow 6000 pounds - we can tow up to 9000. Before I purchase this - what's it been like after three years? Also probably a stupid question but did it come with coolant inside it when it arrived?
How has if been working not that you have had it on for a while? Seems like every video I watch you'll have to add a fan to the cooler. I have an 05 with almost 200K on it. It now is starting to have this issue. I was thinking of just getting the cooler with a fan that way it's one and done. great video.
I’ve still been towing my trailer and it is been running great. Now, the weather has gotten cooler , so that’s had a big difference, but just two weeks ago , we were having 80 degree temperature and my Titan was pulling my trailer anywhere I went and the transmission gauge remained below the halfway mark. I’ve gotten pretty good use out of this the cooler. It definitely fixed my problem.
Thanks so much! I tow a 9,000 lb RV with my 07 and will be changing mine. Did you notice if your engine temp is higher now? Guys asking which one, My Amazon app tells me if it fits my titan or not.
I didn’t pay attention to the engine temp . I sold the truck not long after this video. Once you install the cooler, you shouldn’t have any problems at all .
Hey, haven’t looked at the comments. But what size are your tires and what kind of lift/adjustment do you have? Just a level or a 3 in the front and 2 in the back? Just got a 2011 and I love the way yours looks.
Nice! Congratulations . It’s a lovely truck. I actually sold my Titan last month! To answer your question, the tires were 33x12.50. They rubbed a little when making a full turn, even with the mud flaps removed . I had a 2.5 inch block on top of the front struts to level the truck. Nothing on the rear.
@@OneSquidOneBike Thanks for the video! If you don't mind me asking, what did you buy to replace your Titan? Have a great day and thanks again for the help.

Okay on my profile picture bro on the corner of the box the 401 that's the number I'm talking about and it goes all the way up to 10:15 the more higher you install it the more stronger it is and the less likely it is to burn out but that's what my buddy's telling me that he installed one that's 10 15 and that it's still heat it up so we got to wait till Monday to see what the mechanic says

One of the top five failures with the nissan titan 1st gen is the radiator contaminates the transmission. I would definitely do the bypass! I did and now i never have to worry about buying a new tranny because of contamination!

On a Nissan , you usually are installing a new or rebuilt transmission because the original cooler leaked coolant which burnt up your transmission.
Fact!!!

By the way for everyone looking in the comments the part number is a Hayden 679 he mentions this but people keep asking
Thanks my man
The number is located on the box of the cooler when you buy it right where the barcodes at it should say 401 etc or what number it is
It's a Hayden 679
Thank you boss 🙏
Which one is the best one to use if you're always hauling heavy stuff
I just checked my amazon account . It doesn't show any of those numbers.
Hey man, where did you get the cooler from? Thanks!
Hey. I got it on Amazon
Yeah but which one did you use did you use the 401 or did you use the 402-403-404-405 or 1015
Hayden 679
The sticks don't hurt the radiator ?
Not at all. Never had a problem with it.
What transmission cooler did you buy? Part number?
I purchased the Hayden 679 model cooler from Amazon for less than $50. The price should be $41 now.

I didn't. I actually ended up selling the truck 3 weeks ago, which is when I planned to do the bypass.

Not 100 percent sure but I think they are 3/4 lines

Dude so you didn't bypass the radiator??? Thats the problem....that failure is why everyone bypasses ..
Nope I didn’t bypass it. I figured by using them both, I'd have dual redundancy. Thanks for the info!
