When Dion visited Colorado and saw the resources and facilities at the school, it was amazing!
He couldn’t understand how they were 1-11 on the season. I paraphrase but, Didn’t he say “my guys would kill to have these facilities.” I’d have to say, that’s the first time I’ve seen college football facilities from a major…$$$. I’m sure there are better, but that was insane! Dion was impressed and he played in the NFL!

JSU was 12-1 with lesser facilities. Colorado, 1-11 with superior facilities. Deion clearly values the facilities and the paycheck. Sounds about what you should expect from Deion.

The problem I have is instead of him being honest at first by saying I just want to get coaching experience to move up to PWI's!! He is trying to blame us for why he left!! I truly would respect him more if he would just be honest!! He has really shown me why God says put NO confidence in man and only put my trust in the Lord because man will deceive you!!

In my humble opinion, Deion sorta brought some of that backlash on himself. If he never would have tried to sell this notion that HBCU's are rising up and competiting with P5s, he never would have gotten so much backlash after only staying 3 years. All that hype and attention likely was just an ulterior motive to promote himself more than HBCU's. There have been better HBCU coaches with more success that didn't get the opportunity that Deion got. Heck the NCCU coach outcoached Deion this year. Hype and attention got Deion that Colorado job. Because he has 0 Celebration bowl wins, never played in the FCS playoffs, and has never even played a Top 25 FCS team. Thats what makes it look like Deion just used JSU and the "HBCU" narrative as a stepping stone.
Did Coach really expose or enlighten the outsiders to why HBCU's suffer disparities. Its no small feat the athletics at HBCU's have been going for 100 years.

The AD ask for 2yrs, Prime stayed for 3yrs.
First it's been proven and some HBCU'S have won lawsuits showing how the state their in have been withholding the right amount of funds for decades check Maryland and Mississippi. Second the football program is part of the school. At no school does the football program keep all the money that's not how it works. A % goes to the school and then the % goes to the Athletic budget and the football team gets whatever % of the Athletic budget that given to them.
Nowadays everyone loves to say they stand for BLM, HBCUs, inclusivity, etc. etc. Most of the time these big rich powerful entities (individuals, companies) do the bare minimum as cover to not be targeted by activist groups. They pretend to be part of the solution & continue being part of the problem. I appreciate how Deion called them out on their bs & I hope that he inspires others in the future to bring receipts & hold those with means (money) to account.

Deion talked about bringing HBCUs up to a level of "equality". Everyone, including Deion, knows that would take more than a 2 year commitment. He talked about helping HBCU players get to the next level. That wasn't going to happen in 2 years. Deion sold false hopes and promises.
